Nice cruise spoiled by uncontrolled rowdiness

by Andrew from UK

Dec 27, 2011

Boarding was a crush and uncontrolled. Nice cruise, however value was acceptable only because of web promotion. Other passengers impolite, pushing in front of the queue for food, the food was not so good and difficult to fight for, after the meal inconsiderate passengers lingered in unhelpful locations to get in the way of peaceful diners and their scenic views. The clientelle tends to spoil it and the staff do not attempt to control. 2 hours was long enough.

Great Chao Phraya cruise experience but poorly coordinated

I booked for 5 persons in 2 seperate bookings, and informed Hotels2thailand, but ended up in messy confusion when we arrived at the counter. We were issued tickets on 2 different cruises for our family! Though the guide has already informed the captains abt the change, but they were still insistent that we have to follow the tickets. The commotion with the captains lasted for 15 min and was only settled after the guide cleared the air. Still, it had left a bad impression to our family, even before we started dining. :(
The crews at reception should give ample briefing to everyone upon issuing their tickets on the table allocation, individual ticket holding etc so that we know what to expect.

Thanks for arranging it for us. I would glad to recommend your service to friends and colleague who wish to visit Thailand. Your price was one of the very best in Thailand. Some input to the provider though, food quality should be upgrade. Learned from the experience, the variety were not enough. Some culture and ethnic would have some difficulties in digesting the food. Best to have the cruise divided into 3 type of food... Asian, Thai food, Seafood and International Buffet.
For example Royal Princess 1, Asian food, 2 for International Buffet, 3 for Thai F
ood, 4 for Seafood. This way, provider can cater lots of passenger and they will enjoy both trip and food. I am sure of it.
Thanks

Average budget dinner cruise

I am amazed by the Chao Phraya river and its surroundings, but definitely not the cruise. It ain't romance as advertised. Food is ok with quick replenishment. It could be the cruise received a lot of tour groups, the cruise needs to make arrangement to cater for them, especially the food part with limited authentic Thai food.
