In addition to being the first restaurant to specialize in royal Thai cuisine, Bussaracum likewise was the kingdom’s very first fine-dining Thai venue. Soon after opening in 1982 the restaurant quickly established itself as essential on any dining itinerary.

For instance when visiting heads of state came to Bangkok, such as Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau and the King of Sweden, dinner at Bussaracum featured as a scheduled culinary highlight.

Menu for lunch (for 4 persons)

  • Mixed Appetizers

    • Steamed handcrafted flower-shaped dumplings naturally colored with butterfly pea flower filled with seasoned minced chicken.
    • Minced shrimp, pork, and shitake mushrooms encased with crispy and fluffy mashed taro.
    • Deep-fried spring rolls with taro, glass noodles and a mixture of vegetables.
    • Light crispy rice flour cups filled with blend of shrimp, pork, peas, carrots, corn kernels and seasoned with traditional Thai herbs.
  • SOUP

    • Chicken, pork, asparagus and tomatoes in clear soup.
  • MAIN COURSE

    • Beef in masaman curry with potatoes.
    • Sautéed chicken, shrimp, Phuket roasted cashews, roasted dried chilies and onions.
    • Stir-fried pork with a colorful array of vegetables in oyster sauce.
    • Stir-fried chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce.
    • Steamed fragrant jasmine rice.

  • Set A (for 2 persons)

    • Charcoal-broiled marinated chicken on skewers served with peanut sauce and cucumber dipping sauce.
    • Breaded Thai shrimp cakes served with spicy sweet and sour sauce.
    • Deep-fried spring rolls with taro, fragrant mushroom and mixed vegetables and taro.
    • Sliced chicken breast or live river prawns flavored with lime, mild chili, and Siamese ginger in creamy coconut milk.
    • Tender beef in massaman curry with roasted peanuts and potatoes. Served with traditional roti.
    • Sautéed chicken, shrimp, Phuket roasted cashews, roasted dried chilies and onions.
    • Stir-fried Asian Brussels sprouts with crispy pork belly.
    • Steamed jasmine rice.
    • Fried banana topped with honey and sesame. Serve with coconut ice cream.
  • Set B (for 2 persons)

    • Steamed handcrafted Flower shaped dumplings naturally colored with butterfly pea flower filled with seasoned minced chicken.
    • Egg net-wrapped minced pork, crab meat and shrimp.
    • Light crispy rice flour cups filled with blend of shrimp, pork, peas, carrots, corn kernels and seasoned with traditional Thai herbs.
    • Marinated fresh shrimp ceviched in lime juice and ginger, wrapped in lettuce leaves.
    • Spicy shrimp soup flavoured with lemon grass.
    • Massaman curry with tender chicken, roasted peanuts and potatoes.
    • Breaded sea bass fillets drizzled with our signature kaffir lime and pineapple sauce.
    • Sautéed nine varieties of vegetables.
    • Steamed jasmine rice.
