The Vintage Golf Club

The Vintage Golf Club is one of Bangkok lesser-known layouts, so much so that many players are pleasantly surprised by this course. Vintage was designed by the up and coming US golf architect Arthur Hills, one of his only Asian creations. The course also retains many of the natural surroundings like marshes with reeds and multi-colored bougainvillea plants to give the golfer the feeling that he is in the Thai countryside rather than at a championship course in the outskirts of Bangkok.

Intage Golf has some thrilling short golf holes including the 128 Par 3 2nd, Par 5 10th and Par 4 13th, all of which will have you writing down a high score if you lose concentration or hit a bad shot.

The course is almost always in excellent playing condition and the fairways are harder (less muddy) than most other area courses making 50 to 80 yard rolls from low flying (line) drives easily achievable.

Less publicity makes for readily available tee times at Vintage, and fast play without delays, especially on weekdays when course is practically empty. Vintage should be considered as an alternative venue for those persons wanting a good off-the-beaten track course as part of an overall Bangkok golf package.
