Excellent location

Very good hotel, very good place in the center of sukkumvit, Again a very good service in Ambassador Hotel. I am a revenue customer and I feel like visiting good all friends.

Convenient place to stay if you need a place next to skytrain. Room was clean and breakfast was ok, more choices comparing to other hotels in Bangkok I have been.

Stayed for Standard room it was to simple.The service was good is common in Thailand. But the location it's very excellent near by the BTS sky train 5 mins by walk. However it's convenience to stay there.

Stayed in the Tower, room was spacious and clean, better than expected for a 4 star.
An overall nice hotel, good location, nice pool. I hold the Ambassador to be of higher standard.

Great place to visit for an overall satisfying experience. Right from check-in, room, room service, restaurants, Spa,Swiming Pool was exceptional. Will visit again.

Fantastic place for the money
Staff was knowlegable, friendly, and went the extra mile to please.
The birds are a nice touch, (ask to feed them)
the maids were great, 1 gave me a FREE bouquet of flowers for my room.
Have stayed 10 times, will stay again.
And one of the better breakfast buffy's in town. large selection with lost of forign food such as bacon. LOL

It was just near a sky station, which was convenient. but a little a way from the pratunum shopping. Excellent Breakfast.

The location is good, close to shopping, skytrain etc. Over-run with Indians and pretty bad service and dingy rooms. The bar on the first floor was pretty good and had a nice band at nite. But they post guards at the elevators and stop you if you try to bring your girl friend up and charge 600 baht extra (a real hassle).

Overall I liked the place. However, two points for your attention.
First of all, there is space to improve quality of food. And also quality of the waiters at night at AM/PM cafe. For example, two of us ordered on a-la-carte menu. The waiter brought the main course for one person first and then after waiting for 25 minuets he brought the main course for the second person along with appetizers for the both of us. The guy had no idea what is what and when is what.
And on a second note, there is much room to reduce price/rate of massage service comparatively.

This hotel is good value although the basic rooms are a little old. However, be warned that this hotel is very strict about guests bringing friends to the room at night. They can be strict to the extent of being hostile. A surcharge is demanded.

The hotel is located at a good location and its near to the train station. It is also near to many eating outlets and partying area.
However I find that the room is a little run down.

Breakfast items were alright, but the senior female staff (those in black jackets) were terrible. None of them has smile on their face & were not attentive to patrons. On the contrary, the trainees were more polite & helpful.

We stayed in a newly renovated standard room at Main Wing. Room size was ok, no bath tub, no hot water, but has cockroaches. Worse of all, the toilet bout was out of order, water came gashing out of the WC and all over the washroom´s floor. It took housekeeping more than 2 hours to attend to our problem. Thereafter, the room has an unpleasant smell from water that leaked from the WC. We didn´t change room ´cos other rooms seemed worse, dark, smelly, very old look that gave us creepy feeling.

Disliked the rooms,seems like everything was designed & installed in 1976 & not yet been updated.Bathroom area was shabby,taps coming off in my hand & hotwater from shower kept changing from hot to scalding,without notice.
Seriously recommend "swiss park hotel",situated round the corner.Its seems smaller on the outside,but the quality of rooms were excellent & room service of food & drink was a lot less expensive.

We booked a non smoking deluxe room, before we checked into our room, they confirmed that it was a non smoking room, however when we got to our room, it was a smoking room. When we asked about this they told us that there were no non smoking room available. It took us the rest of the day before they finally agreed to get us a non smoking room(after many refusals). So first day was wasted.

Staff seem to be totally indifferent to the feelings of customers. In March, 2006 they tried to charge me for calls that I did not make. Besides, I was double charged for the same stay, for which I had to fight with the bank in the U.S. Yesterday, when I was checking out out they wasted almost fifteen minutes on account of alleged consumption of supplies from the refrigerator (which I never have, except for water).

When I arrived it was about 2am local time, so the hotel was pretty quiet. The man who checked me in was quite unhelpful/considerate (all other staff I experienced were really helpful though!) and I was sent off to find my room without any directions (hotel is spread over a few towers of rooms, ground floor with shops/businesses that weren´t open at this time of night so was a bit daunting walking down dimly lit hallways on my own).
The room I was in was very average, clean, but old (I had requested a low level floor but was given floor 18!). So initial experience not too great ... but the rest of my stay was really great, breakfast was great in the hotel and lots of choices, all other staff very polite and hospitable.
Location excellent for shopping and only about 1-2mins walk to the train station which is really easy to get around on.
I would stay there again, if you don´t want 5 star comfort but value for $ and location ... stay here!

Restaurant food not good. We tried the the beef as advertised Australian beef but could not eat it as it was very hard meat. To tough. They charged 400 baht each and the food was very bad. Total cost for dinner 2400 baht. We went out and ate noodles.
We ordered the salmon and it was still frozen when it was served.
Would never eat at the hotel again. Would only stay because of easy location.

I WAS CHARGED TO MUCH FOR THE ROOM,WONT LET MY GIRL FRIEND STATY WITH ME UNLESS I PAY MORE MONEY AND I WAS CHARGED FOR ITEMS I DID NOT EVEN USE IN THE ROOM.NO OTHER HOTEL IN THAILAND HAS GIVEN ME A PROBLEM AND THIS WAS MY THIRD TRIP THERE.

I liked the friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The food choices were excellent.
I love the Dickens Pub. What a fun place. The bands and singers were world class.
It is really handy to the rail.
It is a little tired, but I believe that is being seen to. I did not like the toilet overflowing but it was fixed very quickly. I would definitly stay there again.

It took quite a while to be able to take a hot bath. Water system was broken, I called the service but they just gave me the runaround.
At last the fixer came to find out the whole
buildings´s water system was out of order.
Hours later I was able to take a bath but
the color of the hot water is yellow.
The hotel seemed pretty old.
Like:
They weren´t quick, but knew how to apologize
and never forget to put that Thai smile.
I also could stayed at the upper floors as I
have requested through this web site.
Room service meal was yum.

they seemed to me like they are really trying to improve i saw many improvements since my last visit and many more that were under construction. The Staff although not great at english was polite and assisted me when i needed. the resturants and food have improved and the buffet is great value
