Rooms clean and spacious. The reception staff are extremely polite. It's location directly on the skytrain was very convenient.

Good location and hotel near shopping center. BTS direct to MBK mall, Pratunam Center etc. bad point: staff not friendly, old room with stringy carpet.

Didn't like the extortionate prices in the coffee bar and due to this didn't even bother checking out the prices in the restaurants as there were a few good eating places just down the road either on the street or in a local cafe. Didn't like the tacky 'Elvis' show that was playing in the bar/restaurant area opposite the reception area. This meant that you couldn't sit in the lobby area to relax. Really like the fact that the sky train was right on your doorstep. Also the large Siam shopping centre was just down the road and a river taxi and Jim Thompson's house were just round the corner.

No complaints on the location. We can go MBK, Platinum, Pathunam & Chatuchak (via BTR) easily. Rooms are recently renovated. The coridoor to the rooms are brightly lit and beds are comfortable.

The hotel provided me with a free upgrade to executive room and wow, it was so good. There is absolutely no complaint about the location.

i dont understand why this time so bad service ? on 21/02/2010 check out nobody wake me up at 6:00am and i have alredly infrom the recp before the day lucky not miss the fright dept is 08:00am and taxi was speeding all the way to airport and charge me 400bth not happy with the hotel service .

Rooms and furniture are old and needs refurbishment. We were in a non-smoking floor but the smell of smoking was strong. Bathroom walls looked very dirty and no tissue packs were available. It is the location that attracted us as it is near the BTS.

Overall the hotel that we stay is good and convenient and the staffs are helpful except on 10 Nov 08,there is one manager on duty is not helpful when we asked for late checkout and do not even try ot help.

I ordered 1 room twin and 1 rooom king. I received 2 rooms twin and the reception manager couldn't find for us romm according to our reservation.

The hotel was in a good location but that was about it. Very busy not only with hotel guests but with people coming to the Cabaret show. Room was okay but expected more from a deluxe room.

The hotel walkways are not well-lit but rooms are big and clean! Best of all is the hotel´s proximity to the BTS station and shopping places such as MBK and Platinum. The staff are helpful as well =)

the only good thing at first:
if you are into shopping, this hotel is very near to the Siam shopping complex, with Siam center, Siam paragon and the MBK which you shouldn´t miss. The footwalk will take 10 min. The connection with the skytrain BTS couldn´t be better as you just fall from the hotel to the station.
what I dislike was the very old room, which was called "deluxe-room". If you expect a "deluxe-room" you should reduce the expectation to the 1970- definition of deluxe.
The room was normal in size, the wall-papers were old and dirty, the furnitures are old too. The average sized TV started with a just green coloured screen and need 15 min. to come to normal colours.
At least the bed-sheets and towels were fresh and clean, the room was clean too.
Don´t go to the gym-area which is disappointing.
You have to follow a long corridor with old wallpapers and carpets (who wonders?) and you will find one bigger room with exercising machines which are same old like the building.
Also the massage room and sauna, which is near the gym is not really invitating you. Better go to one of the massage rooms outside the hotel, just go left if you go out the main entrance, cross the street and you will find some business there, a traditional thai massage will be around 250 baht, about 5 Euro per hour.
In my opinion the hotel really needs some renovation.
The price for the old rooms is to high.
You will find better and newer hotels, also with a good location and with at least the same price.

It´s very convenient because it´s link to the Skytrain on the 2nd floor. When we asked for taxi to the airport at the Taxi Service Counter in the hotel, the staff told us it was 900 Baht. We rejected because it was outrageously expensive. When we walked out from the exit, the driver who worked for the hotel approached us and gave us a discounted rate to the airport at 700 Baht. We rejected this offer too. We decided to walk forward to the main road and got a taxi by ourselves. The whole taxi fare including toll fees was only around 285 Baht. Next time, the hotel staff should get a taxi for us that follows the meter and not charging tourist an unreasonable price.

I liked the hotel, the staff is not great and I didn´t like to wait at the reception desk lines too long and the staff can´t speak english so well hard to understand what we want, I expected to have better qualified staff.

I´ d like the location close to skyline e the offert differente service. it is easy to reach because everybody know the hotel

Many shops around,easy to find something to eat,restaurant around,internet cafe around and near Shopping Centre,but room service takes 45 min for the food i order.BTS station just 2 min walks.A massage shop for you to relax around too.24hours shops is nearby too

It is very well located, just a stone´s throw away from the nearest trasit station. Also it is just 15 min walk away from the major shopping district MBK.

Location of this hotel is pretty convenient and have good acessibility to well known tourist location through BTS / MRT . The selling point of this hotel is location . The breakfast provided is so so only and should improve it. I have stayed 4 nights and the breakfast served is similar .

Nice hotel, good location (next door to Jim Thompson House and Sky Train), very crowded lobby specialy when the cabaret "Calipso" starts, over crowded breakfast resturants, comfortable rooms but wall paper is pealing off (room 819), excellent bell captains.

Do not use the minibar, telephone and specialy not the Taxi service the hotel offer since prices are very high and exagurated.

I have been travelling to Bangkok rather often for work and I found Asia Hotel well located. I can reach many places easily with the BTS Skytrain just a stone throw away from the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is rather old and the darkly lit corridors leading to the rooms gave a very eerie feeling. I think it is about time for the hotel to do a complete makeover. Nevertheless, Asia Hotel would still be a good place to stay for its value and good location.

Location is good, (Skytrain) not far from Down Town Center.

I always make a point of staying at the Asia Hotel when i am in Bangkok. I find the hotel good value for money and the service is excellent. The only downside is that it is a little way out for some tourist attractions but that would never stop me booking the Asia for future trips.

The hotel was good value for money however beware of paying the hotel for taxi service to the airport.... very expensive. Much cheaper to get a taxi off the street from right outside the hotel. Always negociate price with driver first though!!!!

This hotel was a great place to stay for me - being a first-time visitor to Bangkok. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfasts good, and the proximity to the sky train amazingly convenient. The pool size was a little disappointing

This place is simply fantastic and fully packed with Asian tourist. With a subway right at the door step of the hotel that brings you to tourist attraction, nice room, entertainment and food. What else can you ask for?
