All is perfect
Can't say other word except perfect place to get away in bangkok.
Good experience
Impressive in the hotel's modern Thai Style. And rooms are decorated very modern. Excellent hotel and services.
Love the ambassador suite room
Surprised with a big jacuzzi tub when you open up the door. We loved this room. Accomodated well for 4 of us. Seperate two bedrooms were spacious full equipped with what you needed it. It was a bit far from the main steet. Luckily, tuk tuk was free service to send you off at the front of the Soi, they called this.
accomodation
by Robert Hasch from Australia
Great accomodation with very friendly staff, and an excellent breakfast
Great location in the heart of Bangkok
by Diane from United States
The Davis Hotel was situated near major road access points making transportation by taxi very easy and convenient. Since the hotel is located where many ex-patriates reside, you will discover most people in the area speak English and cater to Western people. The hotel was very clean, their staff very helpful, and their spa is fantastic. The Gallery Cafe complimentary breakfast could be better, but for complimentary.... it's not bad.
Good hotel, wrong location
by Mr C J Wood from United Kingdom
Very good hotel in all respects, except further from public transport than expected, and so for taxis (and tours) meant very long travelling time in the Bangkok traffic, or a long difficult walk to the overhead rail station.
beautiful hotel, amazing rooms
by Sharon Parker from Sydney, Australia
Loved everything. Very friendly, classy hotel. My friends and I were very impressed.
Comfortable, convenient and relaxing

Good location with exellent service

Difficult to find something wrong in this hotel
Great room but suck guards.
by Teerachai Chaisawat from Thailand
I like the nice room as I used to be here once in the past. But I don´t like that security guard in parking lot under main wing building are very impolite. Somebody shouted us to move our car. I had no idea that we are guests or something else.
Average
by Manson Jiao from China
I stayed in Superior room that was decorated well and reasonable rate, I thought so. Hotel location was a bit too far from the main sukhumvit road. I needed hotel tuk tuk to take me back and forth everytime I went to front of the soi. Nevertheless, if you'd like the quiet place, this is the place.
Good hotel - no easy transport to the metro station
by Ryan Hernandez from Australia
We liked the room, the location was average, and the breakfast was ok. However, the fact that they only took people to the metro and not picked them up made it very difficult to explore the city. As moving by taxi is very difficult due to high traffic congestion. It would have been easier, if they would have picked up the people throughout the day at a determined time, since the tuk tuk was idle most of the time in front of the hotel.
slightly dissappointed with the room
We had the design room for one night but this wasn`t as pristine as what I had seen in the photos on this website. Pretty grand and fabulous hotel but I think we could have got a better lookin room for what we paid, still, pretty posh.
Reasonable value for a BKK hotel
Davis is reasonable value for Bangkok. The location is not excellent - it is too far to walk to the BTS on a hot day but I believe the hotel does provide a shuttle. The breakfast is ok. Rooms are clean and very large for BKK although some decoration is a bit odd. It is also a bit odd that you have to pay for web/wireless access in rooms that cost more than $100 per night. Staff are helpful. I have stayed here several times and will do so again.
excellent location with supermarket and food joints nearby
by Pang Mui Yang from Singapore
the service at the reception could have been more warm and welcoming, a little cold when we arrived. no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the hotel wanted to charge when we asked for warm water which is a little ridiculous. they should provide these facilities in the room. have had much better service at other thai hotels.
Great hotel, not so great location
by Dawn Wood from Sheffield, UK
I cannot fault this hotel - spotless rooms and a great breakfast (including Western and Thai cuisine). The only slight drawback is the location - 10 minutes walk down a poorly paved street to the nearest Skytrain station. Prebook the hotel´s complimentary tuktuk to avoid an unpleasant walk in the searing heat!
Good location, nice breakfast and great outdoor pool
by Amy Schrader from New York City, United States
We loved this place, we were upgraded to a Thai Villa, instead of the 2 bedroom suite. The outdoor pool is great. There are two hotels - one is the Boutique and the other is next door. Both are very nice.
Was exactly as described in reviews read on other sites.Excellent !!
by James Ryan from West of Ireland
Unfortunatly, noise from other room disturbed us on two nights during the second part of our stay.
Special mention to the Concierge/Porters for their local knowledge and advice on where to go..
Not enough choice on wine list.....too many Chardonays.Ran out of Sauvignon Blanc,& a dry Sparkling Wine; and still not available when we returned a week later !!
by MASSUCCO MARCELLO from Sestri Levante Italy
Overall:
Just went there like 2 mths ago to celebrate a friend´s birthday... it was definately a super great and unforgettable stay... the hotel room is in great condition, super clean and big... especially the bathroom, it can´t be better... the bathtub was sooo clean and comfortable that the 3 of us will soak ourself in it every night after a long day´s shopping.... for the breakfast buffet, it was good... but can be better with more variety of food... but of cos the standard of the food were good.
Staff:
Staff from Davis was excellence... have never met any hotel staff with such great hospitally... they were also very thoughful... to present a bouquet of flower to my birthday friend and a birthday card with their wishes on the dressing table... which made our day after a tired day shopping...
Location:
though its not very near to major shopping centers, everywhere is very accessible by taxi or train with some walking/tuk tuk service by Davis to the station. Cabbing is not expensive unless there is a jam...
If you guys out there are still planning and thinking of where to stay in your bangkok trip, Davis is definately the number 1 on the list... though you will spend a bit more as compared to the other hotels out there, the experience in Davis is unbeatable... if i were to have a chance to go bangkok again, I will bring my other friends to Davis, to experience what I have experienced!!!
cheers,
wow
Excellent Hotel and very stylish
by Bianca Hess from Germany, near cologne
The Davis is very modern and tastefully designed; the personal stuff more than friendly; the pool and spa-area is very atmospheric and invites you to stay longer, because there you can relax and forget that you are in a very busy, noisy big city - i enjoyed my stay very much and will come back this year!!!
Good Location, Value for Money, Big Rooms
by Jenevieve Foo from Singapore
I had been looking for a place to stay in BKK with little luck because of the cost and the location. But when I came across The Davis, it stood out as a boutique hotel. Situated at the end of Soi 22, you would think it was inconveniently located but the hotel offers Tut Tut rides to the Sky Train every 30 mins and if you get the timing right, you´d be able to catch the ride back. If not, from the hotel, its pretty convenient to get around in a taxi (cheap) without must worry about traffic jams. There are pretty good restaurants and spas walking back to the hotel. Around the corner of the road, there are street hawkers. I´d say give it a try!
I stayed in the Corner Wing. The room was large enough to accomodate a family of 4, and the only issue I had was with the furnishings - a little outdated and could be better maintained.
I would rate this Hotel a 4 star and I highly recommend anyone to stay in this Hotel.
New, modern and great value
The staff are attentive, the rooms and facilities a great bargain for the price. The location is just a little bit removed from the Skytrain - 15 minute walk, yet only 1-2 minutes by taxi. Definetly worth a try.
by paul dudley from london, uk
yes,excellent location with good food
by Famenikar Rattanapong from Thailand
Me and my boyfriend always book Davis if we plan to come to Bangkok,Congratulations to the hotel, service is great, room is great ... reasonable price and the buffet breakfast is great. anythingelse?
Beautiful hotel with fantastic food and rooms
by Jon Cohen from Australia
The Davis was a great hotel with spacious rooms, a fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. The location was pretty good as well.
by Jaswant Dhaliwal from London, UK)
The hotel was well appointed and with very attentative staff who we found was very helpful and cordial at all times day and night. The food was excellent in the restaurants and the spa and pool areas were clean. We are definitely coming back here again next year. The only down side was no tea/coffee making facilities within the rooms and for some one from the UK who drinks a lot of tea was not very good.
Beautifull hotel with friendly staff
by Rene Bekink from The Hague, Netherlands
We had a beautifull and spacious suite for a very reasonable price. The staff is friendly and charming and the hotel has a beautifull interior. The breakfast was rather basic, compared to the hotel. The hotel is rather far away from the Sukhumvit road, but they have a shuttle tuk tuk between the hotel and the Sukhumvit road.
by tseng -yu-tsung from taiwan
Good breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location. Close to BTS/Sky train, go by foot or taxi to shopping or non-hotel food.
by anja gell from Vancouver, BC, Canada
Food was diverse from asian to western breakfasts. We were placed in the main tower rather than the east tower like our last time. The room was not as nice in that it was described as Thai style but we liked the other more western room set up. There was a slight musty smell to the room that we didn´t notice later after the air was on. The bed is comfortable and firm and not as hard as many cheaper hotels in Thailand. Although the pillows, like throughout Thailand, are large, hard and uncomfortable. I recommend bringing your own to prevent a sore neck. I would stay there again and be content.
Location was a bit lacking, but we still enjoyed the Davis
by Susan Y from Vancouver, Canada
We just stayed there in the 3rd week of November. We thought the Davis corner suites had quite nice rooms. Most of the other reviews seemed like it was for villas and suites. Ours was just a room, but we quite liked the interior designs. The washroom was fairly large and we liked the deep marble tub and the upright shower beside it. The view was a little lacking, but the room is nice enough and since we were there to explore Bangkok, as opposed to our room, that we could over look that. The check-in staff could have been more friendly, but the bell staff was great! They were ready and willing while the check-in staff was as ready to help. The breakfast buffet is not to bad and the service was pretty good. The only thing that was the biggest fault of the Davis was it´s location. We found it too far to everything. And around the area there isn´t too much there. But there is a higher end supermarket and a Starbucks. We had dinner one night at the Sukothai in the mini-mall between the corner suites and the main hotel. We were not impressed by the food nor the prices. It was clearly marked up and there was a service charge of 10% addded to your bill. We had way better Thai food from stalls at the Night Market for a fraction of the cost at the Sukothai. Even with the inconvenient location, I would seriously consider staying at the Davis again and the next time I want to find out about the hype of the suites and villas as I thought our room was quite nice.
the corner part of the hotel is cheaper and actually much more stylish than the main part. rooms are great, decor lovely and everything has been thought about they provided a cake for my partners birthday which was brilliant.the pool is lovely but the entertainment at the club is pretty amateurish - 2 thai women who look very bored singing s club 7 unenthusiastically. this is the only poor point, but is something that needs to be looked at.
Great rooms, average location
by Choo Kwee Siam from Singapore
Stayed at the corner wing, which is a newer part of the hotel. Unfortunately the two buildings are not linked, so it´s a bit inconvenient if you want to use the hotel facilities at the main wing. The hotel is not that close to the train station nor the major shopping district either.
fell in love with the hotel

Hotel was fine. Staff helpful and friendly.
it will be all about you
by Karen Cooley from United States
The internet cite does not do The Davis Hotel justice. The Davis has romantic secrets only discovered upon visiting. Staff provides unbeatable service non stop and non conditional. You will be amazed at the personal care you will experience despite the amounts of people they serve daily. Enjoy!!!! It is remarkable!
Excellent Hotel
It was a superb hotel with excellent facilities. Had the expensive feel to it but without the price tag. Would highly recommend it to anyone staying in this area.
Just fantastic
by Deepak Whorra from New Delhi, India
Everything was good . To get still better, they need to :
1. Reduce the time taken to check in
2. Any external services taken through the Hotel staff are very expensive ex. I booked a Taxi for the Airport and that cost me 600 Baht. En route, the taxi driver informed that he had to pay 150 Baht as commission to the Hotel staff.
3. All tourist attractions , if booked through the Hotel staf, cost us 50% more including sightseeing tours
However I eel that it is not the Hotel that is doing this but certain staff members.
The Hotel is the best that I have ever stayed in. And I should know since I am a world traveller for over 25 yeARS
Good all around
by Rosanne Fawcett from USA
Dislike location, everything else was just fine, and kept finding surprises like the roof-top pool area!
Unique Boutique with a superb, friendly staff
by Joseph DiGiovanna from Tucson, Arizona, USA
It´s been about a month since I left this hotel and I can still remember the faces of the incredibe staff. I stayed at the Corner Wing. It felt like coming home every night.
excellent value for an attractive rate
by Meryem 0zdeniz from germany
Good hotel, shame about the staff
The Davis Hotel looked good on the website and the rooms and facilities are good. The downsides are that the location is a bit inconvenient and the staff attitude is poor. Everything in the hotel is for sale and on the price list and anything not for sale gets no staff interest. The added cost for a ´boutique´ hotel is not worth the lack of interest by staff.
Bit of a walk but nice hotel!

Its a walking distance to the skytrain station; say, 10mins walk for me.. chic restaurants & bar right next to hotel if you want to people-watch
by LYNN SHENG from SINGAPORE
I had an strange opportunity to stay at The Davis because for one, I didn´t book any accomodations beforehand, basically just decided to pack & go to Bangkok, figured it shouldn´t be any problem Only to arrive got turned down one by one. Then I saw The Davis & walked right in. They only had the suite left; the india-themed suite. So i just took it. It was abit ridiculous having travelled alone but it was worth the money spent for it. I´ve never stayed in luxurious hotels when I visit Bangkok but I think everyone should at least splurge once and at The Davis. The front desk staff speaks excellent English and are highly efficient and accomodating with your every request which I believe everyone will say, yes but you´re paying for it. Least to say, The Davis is worth every penny you´ve forked out for even for just one night. Enjoy!
For the Money - Just Can´t beat Davis
Maybe my review is a little biased because my friends and I were upgraded from two Deluxe rooms to the Presidential Suite. Nevertheless, I have stayed in other Bangkok hotels such as the Metropolitan, The Peninsula, and even Presdent Park and I must say that this hotel compares favorably to the Metropolitan, which charges a few more bucks. It is a Boutique hotel that combines the elements from Classical Thai Design with the Clean and Modern of the W chain. The reception desk is accomodating with good English and the Hotel Lounge is convenient if you don´t mind the 211 Baht Heineken. The location is off the main Sukhumvit Rd/BTS by a good walk, but you can always stop by and check out the handful of new Spas and foot massage places along the way. Hop on the Mototaxi to and from the BTS if you dare!
appaling food, room half plastic, accommodating staff
by claus mathisen from copenhagen, denmark
roomservice and the restaurant are the worst I have ever tried. room was nice and big, but very disappointing/poor style that half of furniture made in plastic. nice pool area and gym. staff accommodating and service minded. location ok but expect 30 min cab ride to anywhere you wanna go in bangkok, be it shoppig or sightseeing.
Good value for money and nice location.
by Wen Yu Lee from Taipei, TW
It´s high quality with room and building. Walk to BTS station just 10-15 min, and covenient location.

When staying in Thailand, expect to live in a Thai style room. Otherwise, why Thailand. Unfortunately the room we stayed was much more western style than we thought it should be....
Nice hotel with not so excellent staff
by Joyce Sim from Singapore
First impression - very helpful staff that welcome us at the entrance. Our luggage were moved to the reception promptly. Sadly, our good impression ended there. Check-in and check-out were quite slow even when there´s no other guests, needs to be improved. However, room is big, clean and comfortable. Bathroom is excellent. Location wise, not so great. Luckily hotel has a tuk-tuk shuttle service to the Emporium. The hotel should consider having a shuttle service back to the hotel too.
Excellent value
This is the second time we stayed at the Davis and we are very likely to stay again in future visits. Rooms are always lovely and the healthspa is pretty good. Location is also not bad although I suspect it will improve once the construction work is completed. Food in the restaurant is not much to rave about though and the gym could do with significant improvements.
Brand new hotel, a bit too expensive but good service
by SEBASTIEN LOPEZ from Lyon, France
Hi
If you want the cheapest hotel for te best service, this is the wrong place... Price per room is higher than usual, but the hotel is very nice, people are REALLY willing to help you (that is thailand!)and location is not too bad (quiet, and 5 minutes walk to skytrain, not that much to do around but the area is changing fast... Very good thai restaurant -sukkotai- very good chinese in front, awfull italian!!!). The swimming pool is a bit small but very nice. Rooms are large and clean. Hotel Restaurant and breakfast quality are very high, and the bar is cosy... If you are looking for a very nice and quiet place, with top service and average price, then Davis is for you.
We enjoyed the stay, and we will probably go back there next time.
A fine hotel
This is a fine hotel. Well stocked mini-bar, his and her ropes, and very clean! However, what impressed me the most was the bathroom. A separate tub and shower, hot water with a lot of pressure. It is located on soi 24 witch is at Phrom Phong skytrain station. However it is a little far to walk, you can get a free Tuk-Tuk ride from the hotel to the station. The only thing I did not like was the bed. It is a king size bed, but with two matters push together; also as hard as a rock. I have lived in Thailand and have slept on many hard matters. This was one of the hardest. Bathroom GREAT! Bed fair.
Excellent Rooms with Great Services
by Lee May Lian Jane from Singapore
This place is really good and its value for money. A one way Tuktuk service was provided for guests from the hotel to BTS/Emporium at every hald an hour´s interval. However, I had alot of problems with cab drivers who declined to drive me back to the hotel. The only way I could ensure that I can take a cab back is when I take the BTS to Phrom Phong station & take a cab from the taxi stand outside Emporium & even if I was able to take a cab, many of the drivers did not know the way to the hotel. The thing that puzzles me most is why cab drivers refuse to go that area. On the whole, I would still say that the stay at the hotel is a very good one.
Excellent environment and working attitude from staff which makes my trip unforgettable.
by Chau Tsz Wai from Hong Kong
Front desk staff, Sirithorn (Rose?) and a bellboy trainee (Nanai??? I forget the name??) provides me an unforgettable experience in Bangkok from 7-12 Sept. I must put Davis as my first priority in next trip in Bangkok.
