This is the 5th time i stay in this hotel, nice room after renovation. Value for money. Friendly and helpful staff.

New room is good after renovation. Direct to shopping center.

Great place to stay if want to shopping nearby wholesale mall or for business purpose.

i just want to complain that, last month on JULY 28 to 31 JULY, i go to bangkok with my family and stay First House Bangkok Hotel, the problem is the hotel room DO NOT HAVE THE WATER HEATER, so dissapointed, i ask the person there, but no one is helpful, say that IS LIKE THAT, i really no mood to stay there, asking to change room but they not allow me to do that.

you all should be improve it~ customer services is bad~

Friendly staff and Iam a frequent visitor to the hotel. Only drawback was they have closed down the in house restaurant where they used to serve good food and no room service after recent refurbishment. overall good budget hotel in Patunam for shoppers.

Great value for the money.

This is my 2nd time staying here. The rooms still look a bit dated, but there is a revamp of the bathroom sink compared to the previous time I have stayed. Location-wise, some taxi drivers do not want to go into soi 19 due to the small lane. Thus, at times, the driver will drop you off at the main road and you have to walk in. So far, I have only encountered twice.

If you are ok with street stalls for food, there is a few good ones around the area. Shopping is excellent, which you can start right outside the hotel.

Although the breakfast spread is not that good, but you can still take the street food outside the hotel with only cost less than 50 baht.

The hotel is a lot to expensive for what it offers, price should not exeed 600 THB!!!

It's pretty fine for a cheap hotel. It's location is very good for it's only a short walk to bargain shops.
The hotel is quite okay but it would help if there are 2 keys per room in case you and your partner decide to have a separate agenda.

While the location is really convenient if you want to do shopping in Pratunam, there are several other hotels in the area that offer better value.

I stayed in 12 different hotels during my last visit to Thailand, and First House was the only one that:

- didn't have parking space for a car
- didn't provide complimentary drinking water
- required 500 baht deposit even though the room was fully prepaid
- checkout took half an hour as opposed to less than 5 minutes elsewhere
- specifically forbids bringing in durian (5,000 baht fine)
- has the stairs blocked so you are forced to use the incredibly slow and undersized lift.

If you can put up with the above, the rooms weren't too bad (although some are without windows) and the breakfast was all right.

First house is located at the heart of Pratunam, where everything is practically accessible. Shopping and going around was convenient. Rooms are always clean, and the dining personnel were very friendly. Good value for money.

My friend and I were supposed to travel together but something came up on the last minute so i was left behind. My friend said the taxi had a hard time finding the place because you are not located on the main road and she arrived alone at past midnight but it's ok because you are very near the shopping areas (which she loves so much) and skytrain as well. Very nice and very accommodating staff...over all she was extremely satisfied with her stay.

Room is old,with noise, but consider the price,it´s ok.The location is complicated,I just can go out by taxi.Next time, if I want to live near to the central world,I will choose holiday Inn.

Road very small in front of hotel, very jam when go in by taxi

The location was on a small side street which was difficult for the taxi to get in to. Check in was quite painless but when we were led to our floor, the hallway was very dimly lit and I was quite concerned. Luckily, once we got into the rooms, it was well lit. The beds were ok and the bathrooms were clean. It was sufficient for sleeping at night.

The hotel was quite far from the BTS station of Ratchadewi. If walking without luggage or shopping bags, it is still bearable (about 15 minutes). But if you have a lot of things, it will be quite difficult.

That said, it is very close to Pratunam shopping and even within walking distance to the major shopping malls of CentralWorld, Siam Paragon, Big C and such.

Overall, not a bad hotel.

Location is good convinence just the buiding that quite difficult to walk you haved to walk very far.

Dislike : No wireless network, thus not able to access internet w own laptop. Room dark, carpet smells and bathtub dirty. Communication problem, most front desk staffs cannot speak english.

Like : Room service fast & efficient.

Overall, will not return same hotel.

The only thing is that there was no kettle to boil water in the room.

i like that the fact it is situated away form the main road which means its more peaceful, away from the hassle of the main street. I also like the breakfast buffet served. One thing I dislike is the service speed of the staff. sometimes they really took a long time to do things.

super near to the pratunam market,and walking distance to the central world. the hotel serve the same breakfast everyday and room does not hv socket for charging mobile phone.overall, is consider good.

the location is perfect for shopping at pratunam.The hotel room is spacious and good. But since the hotel is a little bit old, you can smell the carpet as old as the building. Considering the price and location, the hotel is recomendable.

The deposit of 1000 THB that was only returned when I checked out was a major turn-off. it tied up your cash for shopping and other stuff. The complimentary breakfast featured the same items every day. Certainly not for stays over 4 nights. The hotel is also very old. Could be a bit eerie for lone travellers.

Staff have problems understanding English. Managers are ok.

Laction is super. Breakfast not much choices especially for touristlike us were taking the same one for 3 days in role. Should improve more.

location is good where major shopping centres are within walking distance. only drawback is there´s only one power point which powers the tv,making it inconvenient if u have more than one device to charge/use. overall, its good value for money

The common area badly needs improvement. Room needs better ventalition to clear stale smell when checked in. Or maybe use air freshener after cleaning up.
However, staff are helpful and friendly.

Location was not bad in relation to the shopping places.
I was not too impressed with the service that the front desk provided. I thought the service could be improved. However, I guess it is expected for the money that we paid.

good location, good breakfast, I got a room in the old block, the toilets could do with some repairs.

It was great that there was tons of shopping centres nearby, but the hotel looked old and it wasn´t as clean as I would have liked.

the outside of the hotel needs cleaning up , it is not how represented on web site.

Stayed for 3 days from 29th July to 1 aug 2006.The picture shown in website is totally different from the actual look.The hotel actually not easy to find if u not taking cab, cos it is inside the lanes.Better now cos the map got the hotel sign.Breakfast the same everyday,only one dishes change.Staffs ok and polite, but experienced tht our comforter after room service was not put back to original place instead it was throw inside the lower part of the cupboard.We called the staff but they said the lady went back and will change tomorrow but tomorrow never comes cos the things still there.Hence, we didn´t borther anymore.The bed also quite old and got sound when u turn around to sleep.Our room have window but don´t seems got window cos it was a brick/retention wall, so open or not open is the same cos u can´t see anything.Toilet was clean.If u want a place just to sleep, this is recommended, but if u want to relax when u come beck from travel..not so good.Our room located at the housekeeping area hence quite noisy.Better request for upper floor.Got electricity sound when sleeping,think is the radio circuit not proper,no hair dryer,bring ur own,no socket to plug in charger,pls bring international adapter.

While First House was in a good location (10 min walk to the Skytrain, with a street market along the way), the room that we stayed in had no power points other than those dedicated to the TV and minibar. We had to unplug these in order to charge our phones. The hotel had no hairdryer (which I suppose is understandable when there is no outlet to plug it into). They managed to lose the teddy bear that I´ve had since childhood - either threw it into the bin or laundered with the sheets - anyone´s guess...with no apologies from the manager on duty. All in all, a good place to stay but remember to bring a hairdryer and a multi-outlet powerboard. Leave the teddy bear at home.

Near Pantip plaza. No slippers in room. Breakfast is OK. A quiet place

For the most part this hotel was good. However, the breakfast was absolutely horrible compared to every other breakfast eaten at Thailand hotels.

A hotel in an ideal location with superb pricing!!
However, do not expect the rooms to be of 5*, we were sitaued along the fire escape staircase, and the door was not locked, quite noisy, slight funny smell in the rooms...

Wonderful hotel and all the staff are so friendly I will be returning again and again now that I have found this hotel
