Memorable experience in Bkk
by Joann from Singapore

The hotel is pretty new, so there's alot of taxi and tutu drivers may not know the exact location of the hotel, there is a need for you to anytime bring along the hotel address. There is alot of 7-11 near by and alot of wonderful street stall which open till quite late at night, therefore there is no worry about no food when you gets hungry in the middle of the night.
People in Bkk are really nice especially the hotel staff. They are really friendly and will help you when you are in doubt althou their english might not be as wonderful as many people but they are nice people.
Shopping mall is within reach. By walking, you can get to the famous platimun mall, pratnum market, central world and more..me and my frens used about 30mins to travel from out hotel to MBK.
Reminded that: all markets are opened from 9am-5pm so there won't be closing unless special occasion which is announced. Other than that please don't believe that CHINATOWN is closed.

Value for money

Overall quite satisfied with this hotel...Clean, cosy and nice. Location is a bit off though, as it is hidden behind the main roads. Room is a bit small and breakfast limited choices. If value for money is your preference, this is the place for u.

4 times

I travel to Bangkok very often. This year, I've been to Bangkok 4 times (once a month on Feb, March, Apr and most recently in May).
I first booked P2 through a travel agent in Singapore. Of course, the rates were a bit higher, since a middleman is involved. But I learnt quickly and I asked the hotel for email contact so that I could book direct from the hotel. This eliminates the middleman and all the extra charges. I also book the air tickets on my own direct from the airlines. This saves a bit of money, as compared to buying tickets from the travel agent which incurs an extra $30/$40 for service charge.
Anyway, this hotel is a true gem. Don't believe what others say about distance and convenience. It is actually very convenient. Taxis and other modes of transport are readily available. Suitable for shoppers cos Pratunam Center is just around the corner. A 10minute walk away. And a walk over the bridge at Pratunam Center gets you to Platinum Mall, another shopping paradise.
If you have a big budget, you can also walk or take a very quick 60B taxi ride to Central World. This will be an expensive affair as the shopping center caters to the rich and the upper middleclass. Good for tourist budget, but if you're on a backpack budget, you shouldn't even be reading this review about 3-star hotels anyway. Go direct to Khao San Road.
Back to this hotel, P2 is clean, comfortable and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
The toilets are spotlessly clean and you will always get a shampoo/soap top-up. Everyday, without fail. The towels are also replaced on every visit by the housekeeping staff.
If you are a first time visitor, be sure to book a tour from Saen Sanuk which is located just upstairs. Or you can approach a hotel staff for more info. They have tours to floating market and also half-day tour so that you can see the city from the comforts of a mini-van.
P2 has been like my second home. Home away from home.
Just a little secret for you (or perhaps you already know)... ask for the superior deluxe room. They have a walk-up platform that leads to the tv area. Very nice for afternoon relaxation in the room.
And if you must be relaxed just a few doors away from P2 is a Thai Massage outlet. Very cheap rates. 200B can get you a gentle hour with Thai hands kneading your back. Very comfortable.

The lady boss and the waitress were very helpful to guide us to go to the tourist spots. The only negative remark is the location of the hotel, quite inconvenient as most of the taxi drivers do not know the way there.
