Very bad Experiance of my Travel life
by Ankit from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, INDIA
Jan 24, 2012
There are so many problems in rooms, bathroom & services. In rooms there so much bad smell of pest control, but cockroach is rooming around. In my bathroom commode is leakage I have done complain in reception two three times after that she send somebody but since I checkout complain was not resolve. Room bell, some lights are not working we have done our packing with the help of cell phone light. Air-condition is also not working properly it will give us good noise but not good air. Carpet of rooms and reception are with lots of stains you have to find out the design. Overall hotel is not maintained. Quality of bathroom accessory like shampoo, soap and shower gel are very poor. The hike is that shower holder was break mid of my bath. There is so much other bad experience but I don’t have a wards to share regarding Hotel royal park view, Bangkok.

The "Royal Park View" hotel was not at all good option. The hotel has cockroaches and Rats moving all over. We changed the room and was the same case. Breakfast was also not good and served very cold. Staff is not cooperative. Rooms are shabby, ex carpet, desk etc were not clean, shampoo filled with water etc etc. This hotel was also far from shopping places. Hotel was literally empty.

Not expensive but quite old
by Kantima Prom-aksorn from Thailand

The hotel not improve and quit old. It should renovate room and lobby.
Staff at the front office in the morning that I reach the hotel is not smilling and service mind.
The hotel is different from the picture from website (old and not mordern)
The best thing is the location near Emporium.

Has seen better days

This place does not deserve a four star rating - I guess they tick the right boxes, but everything seemed run down and done on the cheap. There weren´t enough staff, which led to long waits, and they often seemed overworked to the point of irritability. The breakfast wasn´t great on the first morning I was there, and I wasn´t given vouchers for the subsequent days, though I didn´t really want to ask for them either.

Great location, but without the cockroaches
by Reba from Philadelphia, PA

Hotel looks like it could have been great at one time, but is now past it´s prime. Cockroaches in the room, leaky bathroom, not the cleanest of places. Location on Sukomvit was great, but should have stayed across the street.

Bad service with unfriendly staff
by Margareta Alm from Stockholm, Sweden

The staff at the reception was VERY arrogant and not service minded at all (however they had two nice ladies that worked the day after our arrival).
Was very surprised as it is the first time I have met Thai persons within a service profession that has acted the way they did at Royal Parkview.
I didn´t believe my eyes when they turned away from me when I was talking to them, they didn´t answer my questions and looked away with an annoyed and smirk expression in their face when I spoke with them. They didn´t make me feel welcome at all (maybe my clothes coming from the seaside was not good enough in their world..).As I said, they ignored us when we had questions, when finally answered (after insisting) it was with an unfriendly tone and a smirk expression in their face. This happened at several occasions with the same team of staff in the reception. They tried to charge us for breakfast even though it was included in the price already paid, we had to insist and show them the papers. Refused to give us a second key - we were 2 adults and had a double room, ignored some requirements we had for the room; got a room used by smokers although we had required non-smoking room, said they would see to it, but didn´t, when we requested an exta pillow for the room (as it was just one pillow in each bed and we had children with us etc).
Pool was under repair and could not be used. Window in the room was so dirty you couldn´t see out.
Breakfast buffe was empty our first morning, at 09.05 hrs. When we asked for some bread they told us breakfast was closed and that we were too late... on the breakfast voucher and on the sign at the restaurant it said until 10.00 hrs and we were actually about 20 persons (guests)or more with the same problem...The other people were just as upset as us and I heard several of them say they would not come back to this hotel...After we and the others insisted and pointed on the sign and our vouchers (both saying breakfast until 10 o´clock), they finally came up with some fruit and some dry bread at 09.45 hrs...
My sister, who travelled with me, and I are both travelling a lot, privately as well as within our respective professions(we normally stay at another hotel, but it was full this particular period of time so that´s why we went through you). Until the staff at the reception have changed - it is for sure not a hotel that we will come back to or recommend to our colleagues and friends.
