The Boss's Place Hotel Bangkok Information

Staff (or someone with room keys and security door-codes) stole money, passport and my camera. Police were called and another member of staff appeared (never met him before) and alleged (falsely) that I had assaulted him! I was given the choice of withdrawing my complaint (as the hotel were responsible for compensating me) or I would be arrested and taken to the police station for the (non)assault and it was explained that I would be staying there while the police investigated this 'assault' (they said it could be weeks!) I chickened out and left immediately. Awful people and so very frightening, I get the feeling I was not the first victim of this scam at there and I wont be the last. I struggled to find another hotel (no passport and no hotels allow check-in anywhere in Thailand). Fortunately the British embassy were very helpful and I travelled home a few days later.
