The pool has sun most of the day, good. The breakfast was bad and the hotell is going "down" from year to year. The staff very friendly. To mmany old men and young thai girls.

What a dump!

It smells like it was last cleaned during the Vietnam war. Filthy carpets and curtains, and heaven knows what bacteria and spores were in the air conditioner.
The breakfast was terrible and the dining room staff was surly. They even chargefor drinking water in the rooms.
This is really a dump.

Good value for money

Well placed on the Sukhumvit Road, it is the heart of a busy district and within walking distance of the British and US embassies.
The hotel is in need of a general refurbishment, but the staff were courteous and helpful. The nice open air swimming pool on the ground floor is a real blessing.

The hotel is run down and needs a major renovation. The pool is very nice and is a good place to spend some time. The location of the hotel is very convenient for food, bars, entertainment and access to the sky train.

Good room - no complaints. As for breakfast, was not up early enough; maybe could have longer hours for b'fast, as sure many customers not up by 10.00 even. I understand having to pay a deposit upon checking in, but most hotels will accept credit card, & then cancel it when leaving (if nothing to pay of course), & it never appears on credit card statement. Was told people complained when took long time for credit to appear, but the normal way, is that that doesn't even have to happen, as not put through if nothing to pay. Lady at reception desk always had lovely smile, but cannot remember name of this lady to say good for hotel.

Location is excellent, Hotel a bit old already but still okay, I felt safe there, Gym is old (and no working A/C) but at least it's a gym, Pool is nice but during rainy season water is a bit blur. Overall really good value for your money!

I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. The staff where friendly, the rooms where adequate and the location is excellent.

Quiet, and quiet nice. I never needed for a thing nor did I ever see a hand out for a token.
Entire staff answered my every question and dining was elegant. I'm writing this review then I'm making reservation for next week. This Park is a safe place.

It was on a excellent location just few min away from Nana Entertainment center and BTS.
Staff is really rude and nothing is free....they charge for everything..even for water.....they charge 400 per person visiting you in the room....so be sure of the overall cost if you are fond of massage(Bangkok style)

Been here quite a few times before so I already know what to expect. One of the few hotels in this area, at this online price, that has a pool. Nice to get away from the heat and noise.

Very nice hotel. The hotel is clean and the staff is polite and friendly.In my 40 years of traveling to Bangkok, this is the best value. Close to a lot of food and entertainment. The Beergarden across the street is a plus.

For the quality of the rooms, the breakfast and location, you really could not get better value for money. This place is on par with a 3 - 4 star hotel in Europe.

The reception staff was not helpful at all, other staff also not considered kind, we found hair in the bed and in the bathroom.

Only 5 minutes walking distance to BTS Nana Station.A lots shops, massage & spa salon, night markets nearby this hotel. But hotel room is a bit old,got cockroach at the restroom, have to improve more...

The Park Hotel is situated in one of the central tourist hotel districts in Bangkok. It is convenient the skytrain and represents good value for money in terms of facilities and standard of accommodation, but is also located in an area heavily populated by prostitutes and their western clients. If that´s your thing, it´s probably a good choice. Breakfast is bad quality, though it comes free with accommodation.

The hotel could upgrade its status with a king size bed and cleaner rooms and bathroom.Air condition to the corridors are switched off making the environment very stuffy,air con to all areas should be switched on at all times.The breakfast menu is limited and the same everyday,should introduce some varity daily.

Messieurs,
Bonjour, voilà pourquoi nous avons détesté cet endroit:
-à notre arrivée, la réception nous exigeait de payer le transfert de retour (500 bath)alors qu´il était déjà payé. Elle voulait que l´on se débrouille seuls pour arranger le trajet de retour. Après avoir réclamer 10minutes en prouvant avec le vaucher que le séjour avait été payé un des responsables est parti téléphoner et est revenu en nous explicant que tout est rentré dans l´ordre et qu´un taxi serait là le matin du départ.
-En arrivant dans notre chambre, cette dernière n´avait pas été faite depuis le dernier client!
(traces de cheveux et poils dans le lit, salle de bain sale).
-l´hygiène générale de l´hôtel est à déplorer. Des cafards courent dans toute la chambre (y compris dans les lits) ainsi que dans la salle de bain. Il y avait même un cafard écrasé par l´ancien client au dessus de la porte et qui servait de dîner aux fourmis! Ma femme n´a rien dormi durant les 2 nuits passées car elle était traumatisée pour elle et surtout pour les enfants qui avaient les mêmes problèmes.
-notre petit déjeuner a été rapide car sur l´un des piliers du bar, distant d´un mètre du buffet, un cafard de 5cm se promenait!
-lors de notre départ le cirque pour le transfert de retour à l´aéroport a recommencé. Aucun taxi n´était là, pourtant un des responsables de la réception avait régler le problème et contre signé le vaucher avec le numéro de téléphone. Nous sommes parti pour l´aéroport avec 40min de retard car aucun transfert n´était organisé. La réception voulait à nouveau qu´on se débrouille tous seuls et avec 2 enfants à 5 heures du matin ce n´est pas évident. Il y a aucune organisation ni communication à la réception ce qui est déplorable et fait perdre beaucoup de temps et d´énergie à tout le monde.
Nous avions tout réservé par internet pour éviter ce genre de malentendu...
Avec toutes ces faits, je pense que vous comprendrez notre mauvais séjour ainsi que la mauvaise évaluation que nous attribuons à cet hôtel.
En espérant que ces critiques pourront améliorer les services de cet établissement, je vous prie, Messieurs, de croire en l´expression de mes sentiments.

The bedcover in the room was FILTHY, there were cockroaches in the bathroom. Breakfasts were unappetising with not much choice. Staff were surly - not what one expects in Thailand. Price of water in mini bar outrageous - 80 baht a small bottle! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK.

My DISLIKE is the GREEDY TAXI DRIVERS who will not use there meters and only want you to pay there price of asking,which is extotionate.IF YOU DO NOT PAY THEY JUST LEAVE YOU STRANDED.My likes are the mostly friendly people of Bangkok and the great restaurants and shops and the fantastic Sky Train.Overall very happy with everything.

for this price, the location was the best, the staff good enough....but i expected the room to be much better.....there were cockroaches all over the place....the curtain was broken ! and the balcony was unusable! my guess is that people who book rooms on this website get the worst rooms !
