Good location
The hotel is located on Silom Road business district and nightlife. As well as various shopping stores Furama Hotel Silom, near Chong Nonsi BTS station about 5 minutes.
Very comfortable
Stayed on the high floor to avoid noise. Under expectation of food and room.

I've stayed here and will again and again ater I stayed at one of the grander hotels (the Unico was booked out) in BKK and all I wanted to do was be in the Unico. I could happily live in one of their rooms, spacious and with an appartment feel to it rather than an enclosed, hotel one. Vaue for money? Amazing!!

This hotel was highly recommended by a friend who needs an education about what a good value for a hotel in Bangkok is.
My first night was horrible because the air conditioner didn't work. The staff kindly upgraded me to a superior room, but still this hotel is lacking for a list of reasons too long to write here, but following are a few.
-Poor selection for breakfast.
-Too small swimming pool and lounge area.
-Very noisy room air conditioner.
-Extremely poor water pressure from shower head.
-Bad location unless you are interested in the Shilom area.
-The power suddenly switched off two different times.
-High charge for Internet access.
These were the low lights. There are others mostly related to an aging facility that has not properly been maintained. I cannot recommend this hotel unless you are looking strictly for price. I have spent the same or a little bit more for far nicer. All the while I stayed at this hotel I wished I was back at the Chaophaya Park on Rachadapisek Rd.
good location, easy to reach

some rooms need a renovation, I think.
Great location, great price.

The elevators were a little slow and the hotel is slightly soiled, but that is okay. It is good value for the money.
Spacious room and a memorable stay.

This is the second time we used Unico Grande Silom during our stay in Thailand. The location is ideal for skytrain (both Nong Chongsi or Sala Daeng if you want to take a cheap taxi ride on a hot day), entertainment, massage, river and in our case the Australian Embassy. Our first stay was in an Exec Deluxe and our second stay was in an Exec Superior. Both rooms were of excellent quality, clean and spacious. All staff were friendly and very accomodating and paid special attention to the fact that it was our honeymoon. The breakfast was good with a variety of dishes both asian and western and unlike other hotels i have stayed, when they served hot food, it was actually hot. The rooftop pool is very nice and isolated from the bustle of Bangkok traffic. We didn't eat at the restaurant only because we prefer to eat at more traditional venues in Thailand, however we did use the room service one evening and the service was quick and the food excellent. I would have no problem recommending this hotel to others and I will definitely stay here again in the future.
Good location

The term 'value-for-money' best describes The Unico Grande. Staff are trying to be helpful, but they do not seem to have studied English at Cambridge. Rooms are large, but a bit 'worn'. Location to my needs almost perfect, and my main reason for chosing the Unico. Using their net-cafe is a bit of a rip-off, but there are alternatives in the immediate neighbourhood. Will I come back? Maybe.

Staff were friendly

Hotel staff were marvellous. They offered advice on the traffic condition to the airport and the time it takes to get there. They arranged the transportation to the airport for you.
always consistently good

I have been staying at Tower Inn for 10 years and it is always satisfactory and good value even though the prices of BKK hotels have gone up a lot over the last few years.
Convenient, friendly and excellent value
by Miss Joanna Griffiths from Wales uk
The place was clean and well presented, with friendly staff and good facilities, room was massive and comfortable.
Breakfast was nice, only downfall they didn´t serve Jack Daniels but hey that´s just my tipple. A++++ all the way.
Great views, rooms need to be upgraded.
by Shaun McPherson from South Africa
Pros -
Thought the location and views were spectacular.
Great location.
Very clean a presentable reception area, liked the little bar/coffee shop which enabled you to sit and watch the traffic through the glass windows.
Cons -
Rooms are in need of an upgrade.
Staff who ran the breakfast area could have been a bit more friendly.

Overall impression

Although very good value for money with enormous rooms (more like a small suite) this hotel is now looking just a little tired. It could do with a bit of a spruce up although this could possibly lead to higher room rates. The hotel´s name is changing from Jan 1st. This may mean new owners and it is possible it will get a face lift then. Other than the ´tired´ look the hotel cannot be faulted; Friendly staff, great rooftop restaurant and an excellent breakfast (oh and comforable beds too).

a little bit far from the city zoom
This hotel satisfied all needs and for the price, it was excellent value. The staff were always willing to get a taxi for you when you went out. The room was large, with a lovely comfy bed. The decor was a bit dated, but it was all clean, which is far more important.
Superb facilities but uninspiring room
by Gan Yian Cheng from Malaysia
All facilities (reception, resturant, gym, swimming pool etc.)look modern and upgraded. The biggest disappointment was the room given to us on the 10th floor - it was big but the furnitures were old, worn and should be replaced.
Average priced for average value
by Mr Malcolm Louey from Australia
Average location with average breakfast buffet, polite staff but nothing extra to rave on about.
Large clean room but with noisy air conditioner motor outside window. Will stay there again though.

I´ve stayed a few times at the Tower Inn and have always been happy there. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable though sometimes smell a little old. The rooftop pool is a real treat on a hot day. The location on Silom Road and near the BTS is perfect and the breakfast buffet is excellent and ruins any plans I have to diet on vacation.

1. What I specially liked about Tower Inn :
- good location
- swimming pool on roof
- restaurant on roof
- nice view on Bangkok
- not too expensive
2. What I liked about the room (next to good bed, airco, TV, etc) :
- safe
- minibar
I am happy with the choise I made and would go there again.
good place to stay

good value for the money
good value for money, big room and a nice view over the city from the rooftop restaurant.
Good location, only 5 minutes walk to the skyrail station.
Close to everything, great value
by Bruce Owens from St Petersburg, FL, USA
I have stayed at this hotel three times. It features large, comfortable rooms at a very reasonable price. Located on Silom rd it is close to the skytrain(by far the best way to transit Bangkok) Walking distance to Patpong shopping. The rooftop pool offers an excellent view and is a refreshing break from the daytime heat. The restaurant serves a great complimentary breakfast buffet. Well worth the money.
