I find the ground floor very attractive and welcoming. All the staff have been cheerfully pleasant and efficient. One could sense their eagerness to please. I was able to park my car without difficulty. I do not like to pay 120 baht for cigarettes obtainable within short walking distance for 78 baht - my only complaint. The hotel is otherwise incredible value for money.

Great central location. Close to BTS Skytrain and Shopping Malls

by Chasi Evanson from Malaysia

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It is very central and easy to get around by foot or by public transport. The hotel even provides their own free Tuk Tuk transport out to the main road. Will definitely stay here on our next visit.

Good location but rooms overpriced

by Hayley from Australia

Aug 3, 2009

The hotel is in a good location, loads around and only 5 mins walk to the main road Sukhumvit and Nana sky train station. However, it's mostly bars and restaurants and there's plenty of hookers and old men around so wouldn't call it family friendly or anything. The hotel itself has good service, a great buffet breakfast and friendly staff but the rooms were overpriced considering the building is a bit older. Although requesting a non-smoking room, my Superior room did smell of stale smoke which was a bit disappointing. Photos are a bit misleading too, the little touches like cushions and bright decor weren't present in my room at least. Rooftop pool is gorgeous, but shuts at 9pm. Overall, its probably nicer than other hotels in the area but I think I could get value for money elsewhere.

Adequate hotel

by Mr Geoffrey Cooper from United Kingdom

The pool is tiny and no good for swimming but is attractive.
It has a policy of limiting your spending limit to 2000 bhat, this means that if you are entertaining a group, make sure you have cash in your pocket or limit your spending to below your limit.
The standard room I stayed in had a poor reception and television service.
The clothes storage was five coat hangers(had to request more got another three), there were no drawer facilities, one shelf area under the small dressing table, (which also has the television on it).
The shower water pressure was no more than a dribble, which was very annoying.
The staff were varying in their service and attitudes, some had a freindly smile and some walked around as though they had all the troubles of the world on their shoulders.
Lift to the fifth floor was slow.
The saftey box facility was not very private, there was no internal box to put your items in, and I had to use a bag of my own to put all my items in. If I then wanted to check or change the contents there was not a private area to go to so you had to keep an eye out behind me as I opened my bag to put something in or take something out.

Dirty

by F. Thomas from Ireland

Jun 30, 2009

The beds have bed bugs and a very thick plastic cover. The latter I presume is for stains. The pool is dangerous. Sharp corners and slippery tiles. Trust me, stay anywhere but here. Simply a knocking shop. Oh yeah, if you bring your Thai wife thay will ask for an extra 400bt even if its booked on her card.

A budget hotel

by Paul Quodomine from Thailand

Jan 20, 2009

The room was very basic, clean but with minimum furnishings. If you just want a place to sleep for the night as I did it's adequate. The breakfast buffet was the most sparse I have had in 10 years here, though the 199B supper buffet was a good value. There are better values to be had though not as conveniently located.

In a slightly sleazy area bvut was ok. Good value for money, staff at the hotel was really courteous and warm even though their level of English is only fair, but the most importantly they do try and do go out of their way to please.

Pretty good location, friendly staff

by Ainul Yakin Azizi from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Aug 22, 2006

Based on the reviews I´ read I wasnt expecting friendly service from the staff there, however the staff greeted us at the reception were friendly and accommodating and so were most of them. We stayed in a standard room, quite small but enough space for two.Tv was functioning so was the aircond, but they should do something bout the ceiling near aircond, looked a bit ugly and old. Toilet was clean,we were given fresh towels everyday, no problem there.
Breakfast is pretty much the same everyday, not bad.
The nearest train station (Nana Station) wasnt that far from the hotel, about 10 minutes walk, a good way to get some exercise..bring an umbrella in case it rains.
The area gets pretty interesting at night, ´working girls´ come out to colour the streets, not to forget the food and clothes stalls. One thing though, dont think the area is suitable for family with young kids.

Overall our stay at the hotel was enjoyable, a pretty good deal for the price we paid.

Nice quiet place

by Dwight Morgan from USA

The hotel was down the street abit from Nana Plaza so it stayed nice and quite at night. But it was still close enough for easy access. They also have a TukTuk that will run you for free down to Nana Plaza....
Also booked a suite, and it was not available when I arrived so they upgraded me for free to a larger suite room at no additional cost.

Great Place to Stay when visiting Bangkok!!

by Craig Shirk from San Jose, USA

May 6, 2006

This hotel is conveniently located to use as a base to see Bangkok. Room was clean with a large shower. Pool was small but nice. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast (included in price of room)was one of the best I have seen in at a hotel in Bangkok.

Clean rooms, but small

by Bryce Nichol from Australia (living in malaysia)

Apr 9, 2006

I found my stay quite comforable. The rooms was very clean, all funtions seemed to work, the TV was a little battered up though and didnt have many channels to choose from. The room was very small, but still comfortable. All the staff seemd friendly enough. I found the hotel a little to far up soi 4, but then again the free tuk tuk was an advantage. All in all i enjoyed my stay and i think i will be back again!

Money is worthwhile

by E. H. Kim from USA

Apr 9, 2006

Basically, what I paid is worthwhile. The only problem I felt was location, which is pretty far off from the main st, Shucumvit. (Actually I was fooled by the address).

The room is relatively clean and nice, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is pretty well organized, the room light is cozy. Elevator works fine and is easily found ( I remember some hotel elevator was so crowded or must be waited for a while.

Clerks are friendly and ready to serve (but, in order to understand, you have to get used to their unique accent). Morning meal is fine. Only thing I would be concern, if I am with children, is that the enterance of soi 4, Schucumvit St., to get to the hotle is filled with prositutes evening, looking for man or even woman. So I do not recommand you with young children to stay there. However, if you are an adult, it would be fun to stay around or walk through.

I personally thank staffs of Hotels2Thailand.com for your prompt service. I will get your help for next trip again.

Good Location and Value for Money

by Celiss from Singapore

I had only been to BKK once and Woraburi Sukhumvit Hotel is the 1st hotel I´ve ever stayed in before. Was introduced by my boyfriend´s sis. Had a pleasant & wonderful stay. Didn´t find anything unusual or smelly at the doorway or in the room. Fully air-conditioned and tidy room. Spacious bathroom but no bathtub for standard room. The staffs were quite helpful too. The breakfast was ample and nice. Only regret is that I always didn´t get to use the pool as it closed quite early. Also, very accessible to the main road and MRT station. Probably a 15 - 20 mins stroll will get you there. Have alot of hot gals & pubs along Sukhumvit Soi 4. Guess I will stay there again for my next BKK trip. Cheers!

Good for the money.

by Dale Gudmanz from Vancouver, Canada

Mar 1, 2006

Good hotel for the money. A bit far from Sukhumvit but the free tuk tuk service makes up for that little drawback. Rooms were a bit dated and my A/C could have worked a little better but the staff were friendly and helpful and the roof top pool is great!! Maybe lower the drink prices at the pool and more people would be inclined to hang out and drink there! - just a suggestion.

Superb breakfast. Housekeeping staff is good but not the front desk people. They couldnt be bothered and they showed faces. Stuck up I would say especially the middle aged woman sitting at the reception. The receptionists are unhelpful. Poor service. Location is not very good in terms of walking distance. Have to walk very far to reach the main road especially to the Skytrain Station. Conclusion: Everything is ok except for the poor service of the receptionists and location.

You can find something better for the same price

by KK from Northern Europe

Jan 7, 2006

We were in one of the rooms facing back side with the warehouse wall right in front of the window (two meters away). Smelly, very small room with bed linen and two towels that might someday have been white. Breakfast was poor. Only good thing was the pool (small but clean area). We did not find the walk to sky-train and Sukhumvit too bad either and the location is pretty quite compared to the places closer to the main road. Definitely the place was not like in the pictures you can see in the internet though front side rooms are probably better. For the price you can surely find something better.

Not Bad If U Don´t Mind The Distance

by Khalid from Singapore

Dec 14, 2005

Stayed at the mentioned hotel in Nov 05. Hotel is in the same soi as Na Na Entertainment Plaza. Although it´s at the other end of the Soi, juz outside the hotel are motor-bike taxi where u can take for 10 baht to outside of main road at Sukhumvit (Na Na Plaza). For the price i paid, what´s there to complain. The breakfast was good too.
