The hotel is central to the wrong hotel. Bus travel can be up there all the time. For the same price. The hotel service is very good. Rooms are large with Breakfast was delicious.

Step into the hotel I was impressed from the outset. The hotel was very welcoming and clean room ambience because it's not uncomfortable. Then the pool is clean. The small but very fun. The atmosphere of the hotel. Natural foods.

The rooms are a bit outdated and starting to fall into poor repair, but this is not so bad. The location of the hotel is terrible. It is in an area where there is nothing of any interest within walking distance. The only thing around the hotel is paint stores, motorcycle shops and garages. For the same price, stay somewhere inside the old walls and spend less time transporting to and from your hotel.

My wife and I stayed at the Novotel in chaing mai in june 2005. The hotel was fantastic. The service was equally fantastic. The room was extremely well kept and very large. It is not quite in the centre of nightlife etc, but the hotel offers a free bus service to and from the night bazaar.
Breakfast was great and plenty of variety. The swimming pool was also a great extra.

Definately recommend it and would probably stay there again when visiting chiang mai

Very good location. Close to shopping and supermarket. Hotel staff very friendly and all speak English, unlike in some other hotels we have stayed in Thailand. Good room service and excellent buffet breakfast.
Had a room wihtout a view despite request. On arrival had to insist on a double bed as requested. Was being given twin beds. Room lacked basic amenities like tea making facility, microwave oven and clothes iron. Could not hire a clothes iron. Otherwise comfortable.
