Very relaxing stay

Stayed at this hotel for a total of nine nights as we liked it so much. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I organised several trip through them, and it was always great to come home to Parasol. Highly recommended, great value accommodation.
Great staff

Pretty okay location to say the best. Only and short taxi or tuk tuk ride from the Night Bazaar and night life in Chiang mai. Not sure if it was just the room I stayed in but room 301 has a weak or just poor air conditioner and though the bathroom wasn't dirty, I didn't particularly like it. I felt it was poorly designed. Breakfast was a bit limited but they had a quite a friendly staff at the restaurant.
On the positive side, it has a traditional thai style interior, rooms were clean, internet access and the service was excellent to say the least. They are very helpful and friendly (Especially the manager, Nim who hugged us goodbye). My partner and I stayed when it was the height of the traditional water festival during Thai new year, which we had great fun with the staff wetting people who walked past the hotel.
A great staff who truly made us feel at home. The perfect place to be if you don't want to spend too much money.

Reasonable

The room was a bit dark because the only window was in the bathroom, but it was a reasonable size. Breakfast was OK. The massages in the lobby are overpriced, you can walk around the corner and get an hour for half the price, but that didn't seem to bother the dozens of tourists. The Thai staff were very friendly, not so sure about the English speaking receptionist.
Good location and bargain price

Parasol Inn was ideally located right on the junction at the centre of the Sunday Walking Street Market. A 30-50 TB Tuk Tuk ride to most of the city.
We paid 750 TB for a double room (inc breakfast) through hotels2thailand. The room was spacious and clean, and shower was seperate rather than over the toilet like Thai traditon.
Staff were friendly and helpful although their tours can be had cheaper from other operators. Onsite laundry service, adjoining cafe and internet.
