After reading several contradictory reviews we decided to stay at Sheraton Chiang Mai from 4th-9th June. Of all the hotels we have stayed at, the staff here were the most charming and friendly. We stayed in a deluxe river view room which was enormous well furnished, complimentary fruit and drink(commonplace in most thai hotels). Bathroom seperate large shower. and bath tub, nice toiletries. Housekeeping excellent and dry cleaning cheap and first class. Breakfast, lunch and dinner service unbeatable food excellent. The bargain is the buffet lunch 450 baht, vast selection of starters, main course and sweets. There really is an abundance of happy,smiling and polite staff. About 10 minutes by tuk tuk, loads available to night market, 20 mins to central plaza and not long to airport plaza. Good group here of an evening, nice cocktail lounge. Recommend this hotel without hesitation, wish we stayed longer in Chiang Mai.
