In the night verry much loud on the street, because people clear the night market
Good Location with Nite Bazaar at door step
Situated at the heart of Nite Bazaar. Free shutter bus to Airport Plaza Shopping Centre. Hotel Cafe served good food with live band. Fast & good room serve. Near ChiangMai Airport.

Could do with a bit of an upgrade, but overall was great.
Good location, very poor service
It was a nice hotel, but the staff and the service were awful for the money we paid!

Stayed at Suriwongse for three nights in June. A friend who has lived in Chiang Mai his whole life tells me. It is one of the oldest hotels in Chiang Mai.
This was a big let down after a week at a very nice service apartment in Bangkok. The price was fine, but I would recommend the new Rydges for just a bit more.
Best thing about Suriwongse is the location. Not much else to recommend besides a fairly large room. Tough to keep up with news etc. as the TV stations are all Thai.
Worst thing: I deperately needed an iron + ironing board to press some packed clothes in order to prepare for a meeting on the morning after my arrival. Well, this is one hotel that can´t even provide an iron. Very surprising, even for Thailand. Got one of the laudry workers to press a shirt and pants. However, they charged 80 baht for this on my check out bill.
The breakfast was stunningly limited and weak in quality. You would have to see for yourself. Overall service was indifferent.
highly recommended!

Great location, big rooms and huge beds, friendly staff, very good value for money. Breakfast good as long as you don´t leave it until the last minute. Only downsides were mosquitoes in the rooms and the pool, which is small, cold and very deep - not suitable for kids or nervous adults! Poolside area is also very small and doesn´t get much sun. The Suriwongse Hotel is highly recommended!
Will come again!

Suriwongse is a great hotel, it´s really exceeded my expectations, on the level of a Hampton Inn or Great Western in the U.S. Nicely decorated, clean, non-smelly, well air-conditioned, and quiet rooms. No mosquitos that I could see, but the beds are a bit soft for my taste. Clean bathrooms also. The location is really fantastic, though, as you are right next to the night bazaar and there are tons of eating and shopping opportunities literally a few steps away. Western fast-food joints abound also, and a Starbucks is almost next door. Within walking distance to some temples and markets, but you might need a bicycle or transportation to get to the old city and major temples there. Good service also and a decent breakfast. Will come again!
Good location

I stayed in the Suriwongse hotel last month for 3 nites. Good location near nite bazaar. Delicious breakfast. In the room the circulation of aircon is poor and the toilt has to flash several times.
