good staff, but is owned by one of the most nortorous gangsters in thailand and his corrupt family. By staying here you are contributing to corruption and murder. shame as pool is nice

The roomm is ok but not as good as expect when comparing with high room rate.
Breakfast is so so.
Swimming pool is big with slider. I like it.

Location in Bangsean was great. Staff excellant. Very friendly always tried to assist even though we had some difficulties with English/Thai languages.

The place for the most part is great in many ways. The rooms are fairly nice. The bathroom was a bit old but had nice touches. The small things were all there. The pool was nice and the location is pretty much unbeatable. It could have been great but ... 1. a ton of mosquitos. a ton. but having said that, they did bring over a plug in thingy for the mosquitos but still a bit disconcerting to have at least 5 in view most of the time. 2. there were a lot of parties there so it was quite noisy until about 11 pm. they put us in a room next to the banquet hall. 3. Shower needs to but updated. hot water in the center of the shower head and cold water spitting all around it. How does that happen? 4. Breakfast buffet was nice but not up to standards of other hotels at the same price.

Wanted to like the place but just not sure i could recommend it. Kinda up in the air.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Tide resort and Spa. The staff was courteous, the food in the hotel restaurant as well as in the Bakery was good and inexpensive. We had the pool for ourselves during the weekdays. The Spa is good also and prices are quite reasonable there with the 15% coupon you get from the hotel and the promotions they offer. The hotel provided a baby cot without surcharge. We will definitely come back. It is only 1.5 hours drive from Bangkok. Don't expect too much from the beach, though. Most of the time the water is not clear and it is quite noisy and crouded during the weekends.

The Tide Resort, Bangsaen
The Tide Resort is worth every star. The hotel is very well kept and the rooms are good, clean and spacious. The fitness center is outstanding and breakfast has it all. Location is good right next to the beach. But please note this is off the beaten tourist track. Very few - including the local tourist office and hotel staff - speak english and you will not find souvenir shops and huge markets selling T-shirts, DVD s and what not. This is where the Thais go when they have time off (i.e. weekends)making it quite charming and relaxed and you will find good and very reasonable priced places to eat close to the hotel. Kitchen Corner just before the Leanhong Center became our favourite.
