Have stayed at the hotel many times.Particularly love the location.Hotel needs to update the rooms,towels and bathrooms and general cleanliness.Many room ceiling needs fixing as it is leaking and black with moss.Otherwise the hotel is good.

i like the location but the workers at Grand Plaza not event give a smile to us..reception area and housekeeping showing a bad reputation..not event give us a smiling face..poor reception n housekeeping. No hot kettle in the room.

1) Front service staff not polite, rise up voices & rude to customer.
2) Did not cater room as per request mentioned in online booking.
3) did not mentioned during check-in that there's no hot water in the rooms. Very inconviniance.
4) smelly rooms & there're cigerets & plastics in the toilet bowl during check in..wonder if they had clean up the rooms???

Many average Malaysian like to stay in this hotel just because of location. But rooms are not that clean. The management still can look for improvement especially on cleanliness. I agree with most guests as front office staffs are not friendly at all. Management should give them constant training. Shameful for Thai people as the country is known as smiling country. Anyway,worth it as the room rate is considered reasonable for Malaysian.

good location...GOOD SHOPPING AND EAT....BUT HOTEL LITTLE BIT OLD ..STILL OK...MOST MALAYSIA PEOPLE STAY HERE...

First and foremost, the front desk staff is extremely lazy. The staff took my passport and I requested for a copy of the receipt. She said she will hand it to me later. After a few hours, I went to check with her again and the receipt is still not ready for collection. I need to remind her again before she decides to issue it to me. The following day, my friend arrives and he,too, received the same treatment. In the morning we went down to the restaurant for our breakfast and the kitchen staff told us we will have to pay for the meal. We told them that our stay includes the breakfast and they said we must have the coupon. Imagine the surprise I received when I approached the front desk. The free breakfast coupon was not even written out for us to be issued. The staff look through our reservations and then finally issue us the coupons for our length of stay.
The hotel is like a KAMPUNG ( Malay Village ). The children runs up and down the corridor until 1:33am in the morning. On top of that the floor where my friend is staying, you can see many youngsters drinking alcohol outside the corridors and talking as though they are in their village. It was so noisy inside the room as well as outside. You just cannot have a peaceful sleep. There are so many CCTVs located at the corridor and yet the hotel staff are not doing anything to stop the rowdy guests from disturbing others.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. This is my first visit and also my last in this hotel.

When we asked for 3-pin plug (Thailand is using 2-pin plug), the answered was: Sorry, we didn't have and you may buy it at the nearby shop! ~@#@!#$@#$%$%# Was it the answer they should give??? How can a hotel don't have the international plug to accommodate different country of user?????

Muslim food readily available in the vicinity. Shopping is plentiful. Need a lot of legwork though. Go to the small side lanes for great bargains. Just great!

The bedsheets are clean. However, the windows need some real cleaning. The hotel is not so well maintained and not so disabled friendly, also not recommended for elderly folks as the steps to the hotel and the coffee shop dont even have hand rails for support. Likewise in the bathrooms - the bath tub is quite deep with no hand rails, very difficult for elderly folks to get in and out from the tub.

I stayed here for about a week in feb 2009.I offered to pay in advance but was told to wait till the end of my stay.No problem I thought, however 4 days into my stay the staff would ask me as much as 6 times a day when was I checking out & could I pay for the last 4 days.this was a bit much when they rang me in my room several times & stopped me each time i came in & left the hotel.Staff seemed a bit miserable, but its well situated & clean enough.

Well worth the money!
