What a lousyest food in my life !
not secure, so dirty, thing so expensive & what VAT Tax ? The sky buffet's food like feeding animal. I won't be back to again! And I'll tell all my friends that Hatyai is not a good place to visit.
two days breakfast are totally same, no other choices????
two days breakfast are totally same, no other choices????
Review of Lee garden plaza hotel. The good point is the central location.
The room was rather bare of necessities, old and dirty....it smell
Badly needed to re furnish!
May not book the hotel again.
Excellent location for shopping nearby hotel.
by Hui Maggie from Malaysia
Room lights are rather dim. Otherwise fine. Changing lift pose a bit inconvenient and lift area does not smell good due to the smell of stale food. Reception does provide friendly staff, so keep it up.
Shitty place
Spent a night in superior room 1/2-2112.
The carpet in the room was soggy and it smelled rotten. The painting from the wall was falling down. I got the expression off a nice hotell in central Hat Yai. The rooms was all but nice. I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone...
Excelent location, very troublesome to get back to our room
We stayed there for 4 nights, the breakfast is EXACTLY the same. imaging eating the same food for 4 days. Heard from the staff that the buffet menu use for 10 years without change.
Need to transfer to another lift when going back to our room. So troublesome. Crowded, normal room. Same location also have a few good hotels.
Everything bout this hotel is zero. Only location is good
by Siti from Kuala Lumpur
Hotel looks good only on d lobby but d room sucks. We get a room on d 21st storey n my godness d window cant be lock. Breakfast room service all is zero. I need help to call a tour agency regards my bus ticket to KL n d answer i get public phone over there u call.
My trip is almost ruined!!!
by Frustrated guy from Malaysia
I got the room key at 11am, but found the rooms are not cleaned yet. I waited until 12pm to contact house keeping. They have agreed but still no one coming to make the bed until 1pm. I made several called to house keeping, reception counter and no one coming to make the room.
I made my last call on 2.30pm, telling reception counter that I am extremely unhappy and want to talk to the floor manager. Then finally someone appeared to clean my room at 2.45pm.
After 3 3/4 hours waiting for the room to be clean, i thought nightmare has over, but no... the floor is dusty unvacumn and the bathtub remain uncleaned. toileteries are in mess and there is no toilet tissue in the bathroom.
This will be my first, last and only stay in Lee garden Plaza Hotel.
I salute and respect the people in reception counter. Although I have expressed by frustration and they remain polite and reply me in good manner.
Horrible room service and morning breakfast! Dirty!
by Liew from Kulim, Malaysia
The only thing i like about the hotel is the location. it is at the heart of Hatyai. However, my experience in this hotel is horrible this time. I managed to check-in at 1.30pm. I asked the receptionist on whether my room is ready, she told me you can check out by yourself. =(. When i reached my room, the room is not even cleaned yet, and i could see that the cleaner is cleaning other room. Oh well, then i went down to McDonald's to have lunch. I was shocked to find out later when i reached my room at 2.30pm my room was still in the same condition!
and to my surprise the cleaner is cleaning another room which looked to me like vacant. Only that i called to receptionist, that the cleaner started to clean up my room. and she was totally not happy about it. ..... Another horrible thing i wanted to point out is the breakfast buffet. Nobody cares to clean up the table. The waiters and waitress only remove the tableware without changing the white tablecloth. You can still see someone's leftover food on the table. Yuck!
Right in the center of the shopping and eating place.
by Cheng Swee Leong from Singapore
Breakfast was over crowded and long queue.
Not enough seats.
Food can be improved.
Beds are a bit old
by Anne Weng from Malaysia
Beds are a bit old - need replacement
excellent location..
but need to change lift at the lobby to enter to room..
Excellent location and great place for shopping
by Bags Collector from KL, Malaysia
Very strategy location for shopping and food specially with friends and family. Otherwise if you choose to have a rest and relax holiday, than it is not recommended. The first iimpression when I arrive at the hotel ground floor, we were lost in transit becasue it was so so crowded at the lifts leading to the hotel lobby which have total 10 lifts to the lee plaza shopping mall and only lift no. 1 - 3 can lead you to the hotel lobby at 10th floor. Checking in counter staffs were not so friendly which I have to ask for fews times with 'please'.
Good location, but not very clean nor new
Smelly lifts, breakfast area stinks too. Have to switch lifts.. Um, there's newer hotels at cheaper rate.
Have to recommend MAJO resturarant nearby, its at 135/6 Thammonvitee, tel: 081 7667032. Great food, fantastic services, cheap prices if you're picky like me, and unwilling to eat streetfood
Excellent location with food and shoppig
Overall everything runs smoothly, the rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. Receptionist understand quite well in English.
The location was perfect to shop and food and since it's a plaza hotel, you can have a look around or some fast food if you're hungry during the night.
What i dislike about this place is you have to transfer lifts to the lobby and rooms, if it's peak season you have to wait for few rounds to get back to your room. The breakfast was lack of choices but it's alright for the price for the stay it's acceptable.
Location of this hotel is great.Shopping heaven
The staff were RUDE especially the front office & housekeeping staff. The Restaurant staff were VERY RUDE to us when we went to have our breakfast. We were not happy with the SERVICE of this HOTEL at all.
Central Location but Overcrowded
by Kuru from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
On the whole, the hotel was centrally located and every other important place was within easy reach. It was in the heart of Hat Yai, therefore, nights are absolutely 'happening' outside the hotel entrance. At times, a little annoying though cos there are so many people converging there (from other hotels). Food places are within easy reach with lots of street hawkers and restaurants around (try the nasi lemak and teh tarik beside the hotel - the guys actions when making the teh tarik is worth the time). As for the hotel itself, I think it is one of the better hotels there. Good and tight security and pleasant staff at the parking area. Lots of people were checked into this hotel and getting in and out of lifts during peak hours are at times 'painful' especially when you have to change lifts at the 10th floor. Staff were reasonably proficient in English so communication was not a major problem. Rooms were really big with huge beds!!! Believe me, they are huge!! No kettle and hair dryer though so if you are thinking of a 'night cap' before sleep, forget it! Was a real problem getting the housekeeping staff to get you hot water in flasks, but I must admit that they were ever willing to do so! I truly cannot understand the rationale behind the hotel not providing a kettle and coffee making facilities in the room! Check in was smooth but be prepared to be greeted by a strange odour once you get to the hotel reception on the 10th floor! I think it is the smell of food served and remnants of food at the dining hall which is located right next to the reception! Bad location and certainly a most unwelcome odour or should i say, "stench"! The buffet breakfast is not all that great and to a certain extent 'limited', with the same spread served for the three mornings that we were there! This hotel caters to large groups of tourists therefore the personal touch is certainly missing! The table cloth is not changed after someone has had their meal, therefore be prepared to eat at tables with soiled and dirty table cloths!!! Disgusting indeed! I can't understand why the hotel just does not opt for more solid tables with maybe 'marble' or 'granite' or even nice wooden tops which can be wiped clean! Gym is well-equipped and the swimming pool is big enough. On another note, I think the "Leng Chi Kang" served by the roadside was average and overrated and it does not come cheap at 50 Bahts! We can definitely get better, cheaper and tastier ones here in Malaysia. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay in Hat Yai in spite of the shortcomings in the hotel. Will certainly want to check out other hotels like Novotel or Regency the next time I am there.
Best location but lack of maintenance
by Tiger Gui from Malaysia
Both Jr suite room very smelly, run down & air con is warm. Receptionist is no so friendly as what my expectation for a Thai

Excellent Location & Good Service
by Zulkifli from Malaysia
Location is superb with easy access to shopping and the night was really happening with so much activities. Feeling safe to walk around the surroundings although in the late hours.
Dislike - the hotel lobby located at 10th flr. A bit inconvenience to hotel guess during the peak hours. the two separate level of lift was also inconvenience. The room is ok but to improve on the lightings as the table lamp are just not enough especially for reading.
Excellent location
by Xixi from Penang Malaysia
The location of lee garden plaza hotel is very good. However the lift system is too crowded and very unorganized. The receptionist service is very bad. They show impatient and ignore customer's request.

by YAP CHEE VOON from Malaysia
It is very inconvenience to change lift half way in order to go down to ground floor.
Excellent location and very convenient for shoppers.
by Tan Heng Teck from Singapore
This is my fourth stay in Lee Gardens Plaza. The room is getting better and better. But the shower in the toilet is getting poorer and poorer. The shower head is loose and no one bother to repair it so when you turn on the water supply it shoots everywhere.
As for the service, the front desk staff are very helpful. The bellboy or attendants provides very poor service. They are helpful only when you are about to check in. Other than that, they just ignore you when you approach them for assistance.
The hotel location is fantastic. Shopping is just below the hotel and there are lots of good massage salon around. Food is aplenty. Located nearby the hotel is Majo Restaurant ( 135/G Thammonvitee 90110 Hatyai Songkhla Tel 081 7667032 )which offers the best food and also at an economical price. It offers thai / french cuisine.
This hotel definitely gives you value for your money. Security is pretty good too. Would recommend to all travellers to Hatyai Songkhla.
good location but the services is so- so
by KHOR KAI LI from Malaysia
the services of the reception especially the checking person is not nice. one of that reception girl is not smiling n refuse to attend the checking guest even you is standing in front of her, she is juz ignore u. However, the services of another staff is quite nice n friendly especially their housekeeping. they are always willing to help even very busy.
Good location and value for money
We stayed 1 night in room 2808 of non-smoking floor.
Like:
1. Location - everything you need just in a footstep
2. Included breakfast - just enough
3. Nice city view - the highest building in that area
Dislike:
1. Lobby location - need to change lift from G/F
2. Staff response
If only I don't have to change the elevator each time going in and out the hotel.
by Jules Wijaya from Jakarta, Indonesia
Location is superb and despite of the elevator changing routine, I am thinking of staying here on my next visit to HatYai.
good hotel to everyone

by Tracy Goh Jiayie from Malaysia
centre of the city and ease of getting transport to various places in the city..
good location
arrived hat yai in the afternoon, stayed at lee gardens plaza hotel for just one night as it was too tired to make it on the same day to travel to koh lipe,so basically hat yai is just for transit. if u r planning the same as i did, lee gardens plaza is a good choice, very good location, there are shopping malls around, just 2-3 mins walking, and u can find night markets too, food, souvenir, fruit~there r so many tourists around the hotel area, so its quite safe to go out even at night.about the room, standard hotel interior with hot and powerful shower.security is very good. the only bad thing about the hotel is the lighting in the room, too dim.
Great Location for Food and Shopping
by Merlin Kwek from Singapore
Staff at reception dun speak really good english but they are friendly. Conceige service was prompt and bell boys were very helpful. Location of Lee Gardens is at the very beginning of the shopping street. You get very cheap and nice road side stalls from day till midnight. There is a coffeeshop opposite Odean Shopping Centre, selling chicken rice and duck noodle. I would recommend the soup duck noodle, which cost about 50 baht. It tasted simply superb!
Excellent Location for food and shopping
by Leng Wai Mun from Malaysia
I like the location. However, its rather cumbersome to have to take 2 different sets of lifts to reach the room
Good location
by Shum Hon Weng from Singapore
The renovation is very old and time to re-renovate especially the floor carpet and bath tub. The menu for the breakfast needs to review and change
Strategic location- located in the ctr of Haadyai -busy area.
by Norashekin Yusof from Malaysia
Too crowded sometimes. Take sometime to get to your room - stayed on 28th floor - cramp lift -esp during peak season...
However, the Buffet Breakfast is really worth the money RM10 per person + varieties of selection...never experience this before elsewhere. Sufficient foods too & efficient F & B staff.
a stay as expected

Good location and easy to move around
by Tiang Chee Sung from Malaysia
The staffs manning the reception are not friendly enough. Not too happy when asking question. Normally Thais are very friendly lot. Buffet is fantastic. A lot of variety and free flow. Room too dark and difficult to do reading.

Right Choice of Hotel
Was thinking of booking Regency at first, amoung the 3 Golden Triangle hotel of Novotel, Regency and Lee Garden Plaza. Stayed in Novotel before but is slightly more expensive. So was choosing between the two. Luckily check some reviews on website and found many negatives review for Regency. It as unkept and this was confirmed by the local driver have. So Lee Garden Plaza was a good choice. Yes, the lights are a bit dim (but acceptable) and the carpet soiled. Otherwise a good and safe choice if unsure. There's many small and big hotels within town so can always explore them, but if unfamiliar like I was, Lee Garden Plaza is a safe bet. Take note its Lee Garden Plaza, there's another Lee Garden Hotel which is further and older at the other end of town.

The buffet dinner is cheap. However, the food is the same every day. Should serve different food each day.
Good for the money, and excellent location to shop
by Li Li Limo from Selangor, Malaysia
Likes : -good location to shop
-worth for the money (RM120 /Thai Baht for superior room)
-nice swimming pool for childrens while adult crazy with shopping
-good buffet lunch / dinner (Thai Baht 180)
-hotel staff r helpful n friendly
Need improvement : -light is dim in the room
-not so clean, cause floor mat is not up to cleanliness satisfactions
- should provide electric cattle for guests.
I put Lee Garden Plaza Hotel as 1st choice to stay when l visited Hatyai in 2008 and 2009. November/December 2010 l will do a visit to Hatyai, n for sure l will do the booking with this hotel.
bad staff keep talking!!!
by ira varia from Indonesia
dislike bcoz the stupid staff keep talking w the guest when all of us busy for check out.. they supposed ask the information @ guest relation officer desk NOT ask @ check out counter regarding the busy time ard 12 noon!!!
Not bad
by Tay Huey Meng from Singapore
I stay in a Junior Suite, it state there is a King size bed, but it is only a Queen Size. Overall stay is fine, near shops, eatery, night hawker. Room light is a litter dark due to hotel use very low voltage bulbs. Do not mind going back to the hotel if visit Hatyai.
Excellent location with superb street food to choose around
The Hotel is easy to find, the location is superb, easy to shop just in-front of Central Shopping Complex and much more near surrounding by walking distance, the area by nite turning to street food/ market and its cheap too!
Bad Service
by Harriet Ng Kwee Heok from Singapore
I got a very bad impression on this hotel cause when during my check out they fine me for dirty the hotel face towel. I took that to clean my incent burner and is only have small like black spot. Is it that can be just wash off, n the reception staffs never border to ask their higher level staffs and just insist me to pay. Is not that money that I'm upset, is that service and I felt so insecure on this hotel. And I will never choose or recommend friends this hotel anymore.

This was my 2nd stay since last my stay was in Jun 10. They were thoughtful and allocate me the same room that I stay in June 10. Very friendly. Suggest to brighten the interior light in the room as it seem dim. Maybe some white light.
The front desk Manager (a gentleman, sorry didn't get his name, I chk in at 1330 hrs on 7/9/10) also remember me when I checked in and was very professional. Should be recommend for Staff Of The month. Will definetly stay at the same Hotel for my next visit.

excellent location for shopping
by cindy chew ting ting from Singapore
Hotel is really clean and comfortable. People in hotel are able to speak simple english. A great hotel to live in for young people as there's a shopping center in the building itself with lots of apparels and products catering to youngsters.Location near to many shopping centers as well. Dislike : Light really too dim and there is a weird smell around the lift and lobby area.
Excellent centralize location
by Chua Yang Hwee from Singapore
My 2 dislikes :
1. First time I stayed in a hotel that require me to retain my passport with the reception, which I am not feel comfortable.
2. The carpet is very old, dirty with stains and do not feel comfortable to walk on bare foot.
Other than that, room is clean, functional and staff are friendly. For the amount paid, should not have too high expectations.
One sad thing is that the busy night-market outside the hotel is no longer around.

Nice place for shopping
by CHEW MIN HOOI - PEPCY from Malaysia
Excellent location with food n shopping around
Likes - the location
Dislikes - the changing of lift at 10th floor. Maybe I went during the peak. There is human jam on the 10th floor with people trying hard to get into the lift of going up and down
Once and that is it!
The room was so dirty, as soon as we stepped in, it was clear that the room has never been vacum. The location of course is good as it is in the heart of Hat Yai. Some of the staffs were pretty rude, I had to wave and flag them down before they act like they can see me. Some doesn't seem to understand English that well. We're pretty sure this is the only time we will stay in this hotel.
Excellent location in the city are

EXCELENT FRIENDLY
by ALAN WALTERS from BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA
THIS IS AN EXCELENT FRIENDLY HOTEL. I STAYED 2 NIGHTS IN JUNE 2009 AND FOUND THE SERVICE AND FRIENDLINESS OF THE STAFF FIRST CLASS. THE RESTAURANT ON THE TOP FLOOR WAS A GREAT PLACE TO EAT AND SEE THE VIEW OF HAT YAI. LIKED IT SO MUCH I AM GOING TO STAY AGAIN IN JUNE 2010.
A VERY CLEAN HOTEL. A SOLO VISITOR
Excellent location

Love the location. Only thing that i find not so convinient is the lift. We have to switch lift and there's no proper sign stating this lift is for which floor in English. The one that they have is very small sign and could hardly see.

Good hotel but the room lighting is too dim
Well, Lee Garden is really situated at the best location, the room is spacious and clean. The only problem is the lighting inside the room is just too dim. Hope the hotel can do something to improve on it..

Good Location!
by Cherry Chong from Malaysia
Great Location. The room is big and clean for the toilet. Some Astro program also available for the hotel TV..Only trouble is need to take 2 time elevator only reach room...Lobby in 10th floor...
Excellent location
The hotel is worth every cent that you spent. The only setback is the lobby lounge where you had your breakfast. Do not sit by the window which offers excellent view of the city except that you might find occasional " extra ingredients " falling down from the air-condition duct. Don't expect to see the beautiful city on their recommended SKY restaurant on the 33rd floor ( the hotel rooftop ) that offers a view of the city. The section that overlooks the city are out of bound to travellers.
This place is great for those who are looking for good food and excellent shopping. Massage parlours are just around the corners.
As for the street market which is highly reviewed, most of the street vendors only operate during the weekends and holiday seasons.
It is truly a convenient place to be in. Pubs and travel agents are within walking distance. If you are travelling by bus, then the terminal is just a stone throw away.
Would recommend all first time travellers to stay in this hotel.

Great Value For Money
by Harry Lim from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
We have just returned from spending 4 nights at the Lee Gardens Plaza Hotel, Hat Yai (in Songkhla, Thailand).
The hotel is great and strategically locating within the heart of Hat Yai town. Everyone you'lll ever want or need on a holiday is within a stone's throw away. At night, the streets along the the hotel will be lined with hawkers peddling their merchandise, as well as stalls sellilng the local cuisine.
The hotel staff are warm and helpful, and the room clean and adequate. Mind you, not a lot of time will be spent in the room anyway if you're in Hat Yai, because you'll want to spend every waking moment out and about exploring everything there is to see (and buy). The room is great to rest your feet after a hard days out shopping and sightseeing.
The pool is lovely, although we couldn't find the time as we were out shopping and sightseeing the whole we were there.
We paid 1,220 Baht per night for a superior room which we thought excellent value. Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel you can find for under 1,500 Baht!
CONVENIENT LOCATION
Like the venue as it is located at the centre of town. Near to restaurant, shopping centre, bazaar. Room is clean n spacious including the bathroom. The staff are helpful in everyway.
The only setback is the lift service which is so inconvenience. You have to change lift at the front desk lobby (not sure which floor) before proceeding to upper floor. Other than that it was a perfect hotel for us.
Definitely will come again next time.
Excellent location
The staff is not friendly. Breakfast buffet was bad. The food was cold. The location was great.
You Can't Ask For More!
by Haroldean Lim from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
My family and I spent 4 nights this Xmas, and will be coming again next Xmas. Here’s why: -
• Priced below 1,500 Baht
• Clean, well-kept rooms
• Great view of the city
• Located within the Lee Gardens Plaza shopping mall (where I added to my collection of tattoos!), most fast food joints located there
• Right smack in the centre of the city
• Central Shopping Mall (right across), and Odeon Shopping Mall nearby
• Robinson’s a brisk walk away
• Stones throw from the bustling Niphat Uthit Roads 1, 2 & 3 shopping area
• Area comes alive after dark, rows and rows of night hawkers line the street along the hotel
• Plenty of pubs nearby as well (sports, jazz bars etc)
• For those traveling by bus from Kuala Lumpur, the KBES bus stops and departs right in front of the hotel
• Did I mention shopping galore?
Need I say more?
Excellent location
by Dr. Torsten Schaar from Germany
The rooms are really dark especially the superior room. Therefore we switched to Junior Suite. Despite having more lighting it remained really dark. Bad for reading. Coming by bus from KL, the location was perfect. Just walk from and to the bus. Shopping is just at the door step, food as well
a one night only

The room is messy and dirty. There was water linkage every where.
Location : Very Convenient with many local foods around
It's located in the city centre and convenient to move around. The locals are very friendly and helpful even if you can't converse in Thai.
