I have been there in 2002, when the Aiyapura Resort was just build. The pool is very nice. But the beach doesnot exist, maybe because i have been there in rainy season. But, far from anywhere, if you dont have car you are lose, no taxis, dont rent a bike, the roads arround are like climb the everest, maybe a motorbike, but is not easy to drive with this kind of roads, only for expert motorbike riders, if it rain could be very dangerous the roads arround the hotel. The meals price are not cheap, but i think you can pay without problems. Incredible place, but only for people who dont have plans to move a lot. Was this review helpful? Everything about it was just fantastic but if we had to highlight anything it would be the staff who were always friendly and courteous and just couldn´t do enough for us. For us it was just right but if you wanted something to do in the evenings (besides eat at the beautiuful beachside restaurant) then it might have been a bit quite. The pool is just wonderful but there was no beach to speak of when we were there. there wasn´t much beach when we were there so if you were really keen on the beach perhaps you wouldn´t be so happy. The resort itself was all one could wish for. It was beautiful, relaxing and a real haven. Was this review helpful? When we arrived there was a small fault with our room so they immediately upgraded us and moved everything to a new room with its own private swimming pool. Overall the staff were friendly and very helpful. The facilities are great and the spa superb. I had a massage which lasted all afternoon and which I shall never forget. The only downside is that the resport is a little remote. You need to rely on taxis, the shuttle bus or to hire a car to get out. Was this review helpful?
