Good hotel

As most hotels on Koh Samet is overpriced, do not expect the world for what you pay for! Having said that, Samed Cabana Resort is a good hotel, probably the best choice on Vong Duen Beach. Our biggest dislike was very poor service in the restaurant. We could have walked out without paying our bill many times, no one would notice!!

i'm really not impress with reception she not and conclude with me about that. generality of room and bathroom not worthwhile with the cost if you compare another hotel around there. aircon very old and noise so much. big notice if the owner not adjustment the receptionist that will worse. location quite nice but not good idea if you want booking more 3 night because you will boring then.

Beach lifestyle for a price

The resort was very nice but it seemed expensive for what we were getting. The room was basic and not well-maintained, especially considering it was a fairly new place. The view and location are excellent and the staff were wonderful. The view from our room was to die for and we certainly enjoyed the visit.

Although a FANTASTIC location and wonderful accommodations - they should - for the price they ask include Breakfast.
We had breakfast on the first morning and it was in not inspiring. We expected a much better meal.
BUT - after enjoying 15 years of visiting Koh Samed and staying in at least 10 different establishments - this one is WAY up on our list of favourites and is to be HIGHLY reccommended.
Yes - we WILL return.

Given that you are not going to get 5 star luxury on this side of the island the resort offered all I wanted. Plenty of places to eat and drink on the beach. More information on the resort in the room would be useful.

Great location right on the beach and near to bars/restaurants. No need to wear shoes for the duration of your stay. Rooms fair, a/c could be better although it was very hot while we were there. Maid service excellent, sheets/towels changed every day. Family room big. Excellent sun loungers and enough for everybody.

Superb location on the best beach

Samed Cabana is a small resort right on the North end of Vongduern beach. There are a lot of comfortable clean sunbeds on the beach in front of the bungalows and the beach is curved with the main activities in the centre. The rooms are clean and tidy, the beach front ones are actually on the beach. Vongduern beach is smaller than Hat Sai Kaew, but this makes it quieter and more relaxed, and the sand isn't quite so white which helps as you can get burned even in the shade on Hat Sai Kaew. So it gets our vote as the best beach. There are rocks in the water in some places, but it's big enough to find a clear spot to swim. We explored the whole island by scooter and this is definitely the best beach. There are better resorts on the island, but with poor beaches. We will come back again.
