Baan Samui Resort Koh Samui Reviews

This was our third visit to the Baan Samui, and our fifth visit to Koh Samui. We paid for a ground floor superior deluxe room and were disappointed to find that of the nine nights we where there, the air conditioning only worked for four of them. We complained daily about this and whilst the staff where very apologetic and helpful, the airconditioning would breakdown again the following night. There is a smell that comes up through the drains in the bathrooms. On previous visits breakfast was served in the restaurant facing the beach, which was very nice, however they have now changed the breakfast dining room to an area adjacent to reception which is very hot and confined with no view whatsover. Breakfast was ok, although did not change in the time that we where there so does become a little boring. The location cannot be faulted and the staff where very pleasant and helpful, the pool area was very clean although you do have to get up early to get an umbrella that isn't broken either at the pool or on the beach. Overall we where disappointed and felt that the hotel was not as good as our previous visits.
