Quiet and restful tucked away corner of Chaweng Beach
by Seng Kiat from Singapore

My wife and I stayed at Chaba Cabana from 12-16 Dec. The hotel is located at the northern end of Chaweng Beach away from the main section. This is really good as the resort is located almost at the last section of Chaweng Beach.
Quiet, idyllic location with very shallow, calm gentle waters. I think it would be great for families with young children. If you want to see fishes, you may want to swim to the left where there are rocks and stuff. The sandy beaches do not afford many hiding places for marine life.
Oh, and do remember to bring some bread to feed the fishes in the morning. Your kids will love it.
Food wise, we didn't think it was fantastic. Breakfast was so so and after looking at the menu, we didn't bother to eat the C-Front restaurant during our stay.
The staff was friendly and helpful. Can't complain about that.
For the private tucked away corner, the inconvenience is that you have to walk quite a bit before reaching the center of Chaweng town. Its not really far, but if you are walking, it will take about 10-15min with 2 steep uphill and downhill before you reach the bustling center. However, if you are renting a scooter, then this is a non-issue.
I am back at work, but my heart and mind are still swimming at the beach outside Chaba Cabana. Wanna go back there already.

Would recommend to everyone, especially on their honeymoon!

My husband & I stayed at the Chaba Cabana for our Honeymoon in 2009. We were extremely impressed by the service that we received at the Resort, including cold drinks on arrival. On a daily basis, the Hotel Manager organised volley ball on the beach, which was an excellent way to involve different guests, and was a great way to meet new people. Very central in location, and easy to get into town. We were also impressed with the two happy hours per day, and free popcorn served daily in the Hotel bar! (Bar staff were very friendly and prompt). The room and bathroom was up to date and very clean and the breakfast was also impressive.
Would recommend to everyone, especially on their honeymoon!

My husband has travelled the world and I have been to several Countries myself, but this was the best holiday ever. The Staff cannot do enough for you. It was like we had known these people all of our lives, my 9 year old daughter cried when we left and my husband and myself both shed a tear. The location was great, you are not in the middle of the action but only a short car ride away or if your feeling up to it you can walk along the beatiful beach and you are not to far from town. The Massage Hut by the pool was the best and reasonably priced, we had massages every day and sometimes two a day.The food was great, the rooms were lovely and we had a view of the beach from a our balcony. We will be going back to Chaba Cabana again and I would not bother looking at any other location.

we stayed at the chaba two years ago and are returning next year.the hotel is supberb,at the beginning we found the bed a little hard, but we got used to it, the staff were very helpfull giving us an extra quilt to lie on,they couldn´t do enough for us.the food was excellent, the pool great.on the beach there were several places where you could have massages etc, aswell as in the hotel.the beach in front of the chaba stayed the longest in the sun,all other hotels on the chaweng beach were in the shade by late afternoon.you could hire a jeep to explore if you liked from the hotel.
we realy had a lovley time.

Good location, but perhaps the beach outside the hotel could have been kept more clean ?
