Mixed feelings but a nice holiday

Overall Rating: I was so disapointed by the fitness room the equipment was old and in bad condition and the room small and dark - not at all an inspiration!
Service: the level of english among the staff is not always high enougth. The result is misunderstanding and doubt. In the wellness center I did not know that I was provided with cloth for a treatment (even when I asked at the front desk) and a waiter could not explane the containt of a specific salat.
It would be nice to know the level of education/traning of wellness center staff. E.g. in thai massage I would feel more secure if I could be sure that the staff knew exacly what they were doing.
Location: I loved the arcitecture where in and out dore rooms blend together. And the view is breathtaking.
The distant to the town/beach is no obstacle when renting a motorbike. The shuffel bus from the hotel to another hotel on the beach was on one ocation not on time and we had to ask twice to get some action. Taxis are to expencises and when driving to nice restaurant on motorbike the driver could not enjoy alcohol (I belive that would be to dangerus and this is illegal in Denmark).
Cleanliness: the first impresion was good e.g with new toweles arrangements on the bed and a nice breakefast buffet. Both elements got more slappy or ordinary during our stay old towers in a pile and the same breakfast every day with lots of sugar and meat(I have to stik to a diet with less suger and losts frugh and vegetable), the same 3 types of fruth, lag of keeping the ham, sausage and pancakes warm. The pool border was very dirty one day.
The environment friendly towel washing system did not seam to work either.

Good points:
1. Breathtaking views (large balcony)
2.Really friendly and helpful staff-anything we asked for we got(hangers etc)
3.Fantastic spa treatment---professional,clean,friendly and so reasonable...topped off with the view!!
4.Good quality Thai food served in the hotel restaurant
5. Free shuttle buses to Lamai and Chaweng(last shuttle bus goes to Lamai at 5 p.m)
6. Close to BLUE BAR..about 5 / 10 minutes away from the hotel on foot toward Lamai...beautiful location and wonderful food!!
7.When I stayed the hotel was very quiet so you literally can have the pools to yourself...great!
Other points:
1.The hotel offers an airport transfer service for 250 BAHT per person.Other hotels offer this service for free!
2.Breakfast..the choice is adequate! But egg dishes are freshly prepared..based on what you want!
3. The bathrooms are a little old and could do with a little bit of refurbishment.. BUT still more than adequate(great bed and you can sit in the bathtub and still get the seaviews!)
4.If you decide to go out of the hotel to eat at night try to call the hotel from the bottom of the hill to get back up to the hotel----it´s a very steep climb!

Nice enviroment....

Overall is ok, the time when i move in, there´s kind of renovation. Kind of disruption. The room is big with balcony, but... toilets are kind of small.
Breakfast very limited, serve nothing but eggs, bread..etc..
Its 10mins by car to chaweng. its a shopping & dinning places. Nothing is Bayview.., no beach. unless u can visit lamai beach..
