Good location but rooms need refurbishment

An old hotel with moderately pleasent staff, compared to Thai people in general. We stayed in a Deluxe room and hhe room was clean but could need some refurbishment, especially the bathroom which had a really unpleasent odour.
Breakfast was ok - buffe-style with a lot of things to choose from but the quality could be better.
In general, OK hotel with a nice location on the beach and nice pool-area. Rooms overpriced compared and standard overrated if compared to other in many ways far better resorts in the area (especially Chintakiri Resort 2 minutes walk up on the hill, best resort on Koh Tao! Beautiful, new, extremely clean and unbelievably fiendly!)
