Great value for what you get. The air conditioning was fantastic. I booked a garden villa and the rooms were big and comfortable. The staff were lovely and the food excellent. My only critism was that the rooms were not well lit - hard if you're trying to put your face on!

Railey for better or for worse has become a place where Westerners are generally treated better than Asians. Sunrise Tropical was the same. If you're Asian, then expected to be treated as a second-class citizen by the restaurant and counter staff. However, if you're clearly Western (meaning white and blonde hair), then do come here cuz you'd definitely be fawned over. To be fair, the staff was friendly when i was checking in, but when i was checking out, it was another girl who couldn't even be bothered to try to smile, much less said bye when i left. Not coming back here again, and certainly not recommending to friends...
