Formerly known as the Mukdahan Hotel, the River City was renovated and re-opened it's doors in 2005. The reception is smart and has all the usual amenities you'd expect from a hotel of this class, including a small internet/business centre in reception. However, the lack of internet access in the rooms is disappointing. The rooms are a little drab for such a recent refit and the bathrooms dull but overall they were clean with no signs of mustiness or grime. The rooms have air-con and breakfast is included in the price. The location is good and within walking distance of some restaurants and bars in one direction and the Mukdahan tower in the other.
