Good hotel in surprisingly nice city

We had a superb view on the Kong River and the spectacularly shaped mountains of Laos from our spacious room with windows at two sides.
The bed and lights were very good and wifi functioned well after a technician brought a fitting adaptor for our plug. The room could do with a bit of new wallpaper though and the windows rattled as if there was a storm outside.
Good food in the restaurant with live Isan singers.

I have stayed in this hotel now several times mainly due to circumstances, not choice. The room are average and costly for what they are. The beds have old worn sheets with holes in and many cigarette burn holes. The bathrooms seem to have problems from faulty repaired toilets to none functional toilets/ shower. On one occasion the hotel had no water for two days. Most corridors have leaking pipes and mould due to dripping water. The breakfast is terrible, cold food and poor choice For the heave price i would stay at another hotel.

Fantastic hotel that is not too big,it could not have been better. The staff could not do enough for you, the location was perfect and food and facilities were excellant.We have been to Nakhon Phanom River View Hotel 2 times and this is the best hotel we have stayed at, we would recommend it to anyone. We can´t wait to go back there.
