excellent location , with great staff

we have been coming to this hotel for 25 years, seen Patttaya town go from a fishing village to a city , the hotel s rooms are basic , clean with fridge, bath with shower over, excellant pool and towel s provided, breakfast is buffet style eat what you will,ie bacon eggs tomotoes, cerals,toast etc + thai dishes and frsh fruit . staff helpful, terrace resturant good, live music and dancing some nights

Wonderful Hotel

My wife and I have been using the Asia Pattaya Hotel for many years, a truly wonderful location with by far the best staff in Thailand. The Asia is situated in South Pattaya and nestles at the foot of what we know as South Cliff Road, about 3kms for the centre of town. The rooms although basic in some repsects are maintained well by a friendly cleaning team, the same who are always keen to help. We find that by leaving around 20 Baht(40-45p) on the bed maybe every couple of days makes a hell of a difference. The food, particularly the breakfast is sublime, wonderful quality and it keeps you going all day as there is so much of it. There are many small restaurants and bars close by and a very good laundry some 300 yards up the road, inexpensive and so impressive in how they package your clothing on return. The golf course is a bonus, the hotel looks over this 9-hole spread, around £6.00 shall allow you to play golf for as long as you like and with their clubs. Town can be hectic but hugely enjoyable nevertheless, the Asia is just far enough away from all the activity, you can have it pretty much on your own terms, a 150 baht (£2.60) taxi ride from the hotel will get you there. Room service at the Asia is also excellent, great service, superb food and well presented. The pool, gym, Thai massage service, breathtaking scenery and the lovely beach make this hotel the place to stay in Pattaya, we expect to be going there for many years to come. One minus against it at the moment, the outside needs to be re-painted, the white now looks a little tired and grey.

- Staff lacks knowledge of conversing in English.
- Location Good for relaxation and peace, but a little inconvenient for city visits and sightseeing on own. Maybe the hotel should provide free transfers to downtown area at fixed times.

Have stayed at this hotel quite a few times and have always found the staff to be friendly & helpful. They have very good memories as well, called by name after 3 year gap between stays. I have found that the rooms are comfortable clean and the staff nearly always make up the room as soon as you have left it. The staff are very friendly and you only have to ask for something, like extra pillows or sheets and it will be done, perhaps its because I leave a nice tip for them, who knows. To sum this review up in a few words:- I feel comfortable there
