Basaya Beach Hotel & Resort Reviews

We are a family of two adults and two children aged 4 and 8. We always have a superior room which looks out onto the gardens and is by the pool which makes it perfect for the children with there being a wonderful pool just for them... they love it !
We have always found the staff to be very friendly - easy to talk to - always ready to help -and from the security guards to the manager always always loving towards the children.
I really enjoy the buffet breakfast I think the food is great and a terrific selection and we've stayed in some expensive hotels where the hot food put out has often been anything but hot ! Not here ! And your eggs are always cooked up to order just the way you want them with no fuss... excellent !
Location is very easy for wherever you want to go. Taxis pass right outside and run along the beach road for access to all the shopping malls and restaurants and the nearest one you could easily walk to. The beach is just over the road where we love to just snack on food and drink while the kids play in the sea.
All in all we love this hotel and will continue to return. You get what you give - smile and be respectful and you'll get the same back and more.

Hotel close to shopping area and not far from the beach about two minutes just walk to beachfront,good staff ,breakfast is ok.

i have stayed at this hotel several times over the years it is well located at the bottom of central road ans is in easy walking distance of soi 7 and other bar areas. going back in september 2011 hopefully.

But short of replacing furniture because furniture somewhat old

+ Mini bar with 2 free Water
+ Condoms in Room in case of emergency
- bad maintained (none of the small lights worked)
- AC could be more powerful

Like:
Centera Beach Hotel has a perfect location, right in the middle of Pattaya Beach Road and only a few steps away from the beach.
It also has a wonderful restful green garden with a nice swimming pool.
The staff is very helpful and friendly!
The food is really very good, Thai as well as all the other food!

Dislike:
I have never seen such dirty towels in the bathroom in my life! The first week they were grey or grey with big black or brown(?) spots, the following two weeks they were white/grey but never clean white! So I suggest to throw them away and buy new ones and afterwards clean them very good.
The airco is very old and not working properly: Low, medium or high, it stays at the same speed! You cannot regulate the degrees, so we weren't able to sleep very well because it was so hot in the room all the time!
The staff is very helpful and friendly, except for one boy/man who never said hello when you said hi, he was very unpolite all the time to everybody! I wonder what he is still doing in the hotel.
One last point: you aren't allowed to bring beverages or food into the hotel from outside or else you will be charged 5.000 Baht, so we didn't! BUT we saw so many people bringing in a lot of food and beers or alcoholic drinks! So my questions are: Is it allowed or not and what about the 5.000 Baht, is it a joke or what?

Good and value for money. Overall a nice and comfortable stay at a good location.

This hotel is more pretty than I expected. The breakfast is good, the location is perfect that in the central road that convenient to everywhere you want to. I will book it definitely next time when I go to Pattaya!

rooms offer many and good confort but appearance as the old structure.

located in one of the best locations in Pattaya. Tired looking hotel in large grounds but with the bonus of a very large swimming pool. Very good value includes a large buffet breakfast. Room size adequate nearly all rooms face the pool

The air conditioning was poor - my room never was cool enough. I missed a balcony.
Everything else was good.

really convenience, the Tops supermarket just behind the hotel, just spent 3-4 minutes to reach there.....also can call for foot-massage, will recommend friend for this hotel.....

I stayed at the hotel on a recomendation from a friend, I found the hotel good value for money, as are most in this area, should I wish to use a hotel in this area again I would consider Nova Lodge this being based on price allown as the services are good and the staff very helpful
Having said that I probably would not visit Pattaya again as I found the Beach disapointing and beach water disgusing(Green slim), There are far better places to visit in Thailand.

Good location and ideal for anyone visiting this area.
