Century Pattaya Hotel Reviews

Good hotel with medium sized swimming pool, balcony and a passable breakfast. Not very close to the beach but plenty of shops and market stalls all around.

Situated at the very pulse of Pattaya , Century Pattaya Hotel is within walking proximity to diversified shopping, non-stop night-life, international cuisine, vigorous commerce and above all, exotic beaches.

We stayed in two rooms, and looked at a couple of others. The bathrooms were good, with nice big tub and plenty of hot water. Generally everything was clean and comfortable. One problem was the TV - generally bad picture in ALL the rooms we checked! Pity coz the range of satellite channels is exellent (as seems standard in Pattaya). On the third night we found a nearby hotel that did have good clear TV picture. If not for the TV, I'd be happy to stay again. Jiggling the connection helped sometimes. The staff did offer to send their technican, but since each room was the same, I didn't bother trying that. For some reason, smoking seemed to encouraged in every room, with matches and ashtry provided. Fortunately not too many seemed to be taking that bait. The breakfast at Century is pretty basic, but still good value. If you're lucky you'll escape the big groups of Asian coach tourists; then breakfast is peaceful with less competition around the buffet. No freshly-cooked omelleets or ground coffee or other frills here (and sadly the fried eggs ALL came with metallic-black underside!), but with reasonable choice and fresh fruit, it was good budget buffet. A few "brown cows" seemed to be enjoying lounging by pool; it looked nice enough, but I didn't test the waters. Hope you enjoy your stay, also!
