A great hide a way in Bangkok airport

I had a long trip to Inida w and unexpected 10 hour layover in Bangkok. It was suggested taht I get a day room so I could actually lay flat. The room had 2 twin bed, a separate shower (just like the pics) was quite and comfortable. I was able to sleep on a bed, watch a little TV, repack, and regroup for the 5 hour flight to Delhi. It really helped with my jet lag. The only dissapointment was the wi fi was an extra chrage on top of the room. I beleived it was included. You can by tiem in sessions of 4, 6, 7 hr. I took 6 hours which was prefect for me. Then I was able to go to the business class lounge and use my wi fi. No heistation would I have to stay there again on a long flight around the world.

Rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Each room has a balcony. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is in the restaurant next door and is not bad.

Excellent Resort!!!

My experience in Beach Republic was different to the previous review, I received excellent service there! When we first arrived the resort, we were welcomed with smiles and a drink, and also whenever we went to the restaurant, the staffs greeted us very politely! Others stuffs were also great in this resort, the pool area were amazing and I love the cabanas in the ocean club!!! I will bring my girlfriend there again to celebrate her birthday~ And Twangoo is now featuring a deal on this resort, only USD90 a night! Great value!!!

This place is convenient at location. Staff are nice. Breakfast is only so so but its ok cause there are so much good food out there in bangkok. The pool is nice. Rooms are big, best for friends and family trip.

Typical Tired Upcountry Hotel

The room are large and clean. The bathroom was moldy and badly in need of a do over. Breakfast was OK. Staff fairly helpful, but in a nearly deserted hotel, a late check out seemed problematic. We use it because it is cheap, and close to the wonderful restaurant "Good Everything". The hotel also has an amazing wine cellar.

The service is very helpful and polite. The View Rooms in the main Builing are clean and have a big Samsung TV and Music and Video Player. But no Lift and some Rooms in the groundfloor have a view to a white / grey wall. Overall: i would come back.

poorly renovated

5 years ago we stopped going to the Allamanda (after staying there many times) as it needed a big renovation badly. After reading a renovation has been done resulting in the possibility of booking an executive room, we decided to go back. After checking in it turned out that the renovation is different per room. in the room we got first the only new thing was the floor! Bed, bathroom, airco etc all still horibly old and dirty, still the same since the opening in the mid 90'. after complaining we got a new room, here it was done better (new fresh bathroom, cleaned airco and fresh paintjob.). after all the stay was ok, but we won't consider returning again. then better stay at laguna holiday club.

Loved the room, facilities, beach and overall atmosphere. Only complaint is the hotel restaurant is quite expensive, also expensive for taxis to get to/from town or sightseeing, but they have a car rental desk right at the hotel which turned to be perfect for us.
