Room/hotel: Hard bed, A/C doesn't effectively cool the room, decor was outdated similar to a Super 8 level, view of pool was nice. resort was quiet. pools were great.
Value: Terrible. For more than twice the price of 3 star hotels, there was nothing included with our deluxe room such as breakfast or wifi...we met people staying at budget hotels with nicer rooms and amenities. We felt nickled-and-dimed our entire stay. Internet was 400 BHT per day but only allowed access on one computer at a time. Prices on items in fridge were beyond ridiculous (ie. 325 BHT for a water you can purchase for 7 BHT at store).
Location: perfect. 3 minute walk to beach, close to everything. any hotel on patong beach is fine though.
Service: Great. Staff was nice and happy to help you.

Stayed here for 5 nights in early May and enjoyed every minute. The location was excellent, security at all times. The pool was good and you could swim up to the bar for a drink just take one with you and sit on the lounges. I would definitely stay there again if I go to Patong Beach.

We stayed at the Banthai in November 2009. We found it to be a good hotel in a great location. Just a walk down the hotel driveway and across the road and you are on Patong Beach, 5 minutes walk to Bangla Road, 15 minutes to JungCeylon Shopping Centre and other markets closebuy. Clean modern hotel with all the amenities. Good range of food for breakfast. Would definitely book again if within our budget. We were lucky enough to get a great 8 days for the price of 4 package deal.
