This hotel is very nice and good price. Rooms are clean, modern style. It is close to the beach and nearby to many eating and shopping places.

I have stayed at the horizon many times.In march my husband and i took our grandson their for a holiday and for his 21st birthday i raved about the hotel and more or less got a slap in the face from the time i arrived my booking wasnt right the girl behind the desk was rude and when i ask her why my booking wasnt right she more or less told me if i didnt like it i should go somewhere else i waited till next morning and spoke to the manager and she was loverly and help sort out our problem why couldnt the girl behind the desk the night before be like that its a shame as its put a sore tast in my mouth to stay again at the horizon which i will be coming to patong next year and have to find another hotel to stay in

Excellent location to beach, senery, shopping & food stall; even the room is situated next to the pool, as requested. Superb hotel to stay, but there is one staff who has to be taught a lesson in courtesy and etiquette as she is very rude and arrogance.

Horizon Beach Hotel is one of the most perfect location in Patong Beach for a vacation stay in Phuket. There are other hotels around the same vicinity too, like Holiday Inn and Patong Merlin which I have stayed in. Most of the staff are very friendly (like waitress YOU) except for some who are not quite fluent even in English. Because of this, during my check-out, I had an angry moment with one of the counter staff named MAEW. Because of a glass ashtray which she charged me 50 Baht, and to avoid any delay in my check-out, I have to rush off angry, disgusted & upset and that particularly spoilt my expectation of the hotel. I can stay and explain to her that the pool bar or my nextdoor room guest could have taken the ashtray, but it will take a long time to explain and investigate. Because of this incident, it is giving me second thought in going back to Horizon Beach Hotel, I can still stay at Patong Merlin or Holiday Inn, both at the same location and maybe even more professional in handling situation !

Great Location and rooms at reasonable price

Being a family of 5 we were given the nicest adjoining rooms when we first arrived. We asked if there were connecting rooms available and were moved that day to 2 beautiful rooms with internal interconnecting doors. The staff were so polite and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. Having there own private beach access was good if you did not feel like walking the gauntlet of the sellers and massage parlours. If you did want a massage, the internet or little snack shop they were write at the door. My only small criticism was that the pool needed a little bit of resurfacing but it was very clean. Kids just need to be a bit careful of their toes on the edges.

If I ever booked this hotel again I would go straight to a Deluxe room the Superior rooms we were shown where very dingy and dark also very small. We felt the Hotel put us in the worst rooms so we would pay for the upgrade which was expensive for what we got. Also one of our party had to move rooms in the night as their deluxe room leaked badly and my sister in law got an electric sock in the shower in the second to last night and the person on the front desk could not seem to understand the fatal risk this could cause, and told my sister in law to have cold showers I think this Hotel needs to have a real overhaul and not just quick fixes. The other thing we disliked about this hotel is they tried to sell us an upgrade to the sister hotel in Karong Beach before we could even check in.

MY HUSBAND & I STAYED AT THIS RESORT IN A FAMILY ROOM & OUR 3 SONS WERE IN THERE FAMILY ROOM IN 2003, EVERYTHINK ABOUT THIS RESORT WAS EXCELLENT FROM THE SIZE OF THE ROOMS, KITCHEN, LOCATION, POOLS, AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF IT HAS A CHILDS PLAY CENTRE & SPORTS BAR WITH A POOL TABLE & YOU BUY ONE DRINK AND GET ONE FREE, CANT WAIT TO GO BACK THERE IN OCT 2007

The staff were really intent on making sure we had a great holiday. They really lived up to Thailands name of the land of smiles. A pool waiter would be great. We hope we will be able to return many times to the Horizon.

Like the hotel. Booked with five other family members and friends in 2004. Very clean for a 3 and a half star. (compared to Bali). Lovely gardens and spotless restaurant and fantastic breakfasts.
The location is fantastic. Whilst still on the beach it
is tucked away nicely for added privacy. The location is probably one of the best in Phuket. So central and you only have to walk to most places.
I would reccomend to other Aussies. One improvement whilst not life threatening. Swim up pool bar or someone walking around to order drinks. Otherwise perfecto.

I loved the atmosphere, it was warm and friendly, a cool drink on arrival, great swimming pools and bar, nicely tucked away for the main st and just 2 min walk to the beach, excellent for couples and families, and the air conditioning is wonderful, would highly recomend, I will be back.
