The Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Kamala Beach is the ultimate holiday destination for couples, families and small meetings with 178 one- to three-bedroom suites, each with separate bedroom and living areas, meters from the beach.
The resort combines warm friendly service with a Kids World play zone, lagoon-style swimming pool, Araya Spa and fitness center, just 30 minutes from Phuket International Airport.
Food and beverage needs are met at MoMo Cafe, serving the best in Thai and western cuisine. MoMo 2 Go provides snacks, including fresh pastries and international teas and coffee.
Excursions can be arranged to Phang Nga Bay, Phuket FantaSea amusement park or shopping at the Patong Beach markets or Jungceylon Shopping Center. Active travelers can try elephant safaris, sea canoeing, fishing, golf, diving and snorkeling.

The hotel locates at Kamala, near to the Fantasea. Not recommend to stay in if you do not drive as it is far away from shopping centres. Fortunately, there are some mini-stores besides the hotel, you can buy daily necessities from there.
Environment
My girlfriend and I are very satisfy with the room condition. Upon entered the main door, it is the bacony, you can see the poolview there. Then enter thru sliding door, it is the living room, clean and tidy.
The washroom is clean and bright.
Double-bed room provide comfortable & clean queen size bed with LCD TV. But dunno why can't control the temperture of the air-con. It is windy as the air-con vent blow directly to the bed.
Breakfast is tasty, but with normal variety of foods. Both western and oriental style.
overall speaking, it is worthy to stay in this hotel.

The hotel is located in a real calm area, at least calm during our visit in end of October-07. We travelled as a family with two adults and two children. We had to separate rooms that were connected via the balcony. This solution worked fine for us. If you want to relax by the nice pool or walk the 20 meter to the beach is up to you. It is possible to walk along the beach and there are several nice small restaurants serving delicious food for really good price. The hotel has a restaurant of their own with good food and a very good breakfast. There is a small village about 5 minutes walk from the hotel there you will find restaurants, some few shops, a small supermarket, pharmacia etc.

This is a great hotel for families - very spacious rooms and lots of flexibility with the pullout beds in the sitting room. The kids love the pool here and we have stayed here on 3 occasions. The hotel does seem to have difficulty providing hot water - it was in short supply each time we stayed there - despite the fact that each visit was in the low season and the hotel was nearly empty! Otherwise everything is perfect.
