This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Our stay was enjoyable. The staff were nice and the hotel was well kept and clean. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices and was excellent. We wish we could have stayed loner at this hotel. I highly recommend it.

Good location in the center of Patong Beach. Breakfast was good. Beautiful garden and good pool. Pool view Premier room is spacious. Hotel s situated not far from Bangla Road (night clubs), only 10 min walk. Beach is in 5 min walk crossing the street. There are no own sunchairs on the beach. You have to pay 100 Bht per day. Will definitely stay in Thara Patong if back to Phuket.

The hotel is on a good location, it's very nice that the hotel near the beach and central of the city. Our breakfast has many menus for us to choose both Thai and International. The building looks a little bit old but in fact it's clean.

Only one night but what we needed

by Jonathan Stobbs from United Kingdom

After being on a liveaboard for 4 days we were ready for a nice hotel bed before we flew back to Bangkok, this place supplied it and we were wishing we had longer, the gardens and 2 pools are emmaculate and the breakfast area very nice, the room and bathroom was very good, would stay there again, only drawback is if your looking for a quite resort Patong is not!! The hotel is an Oasis in the middle of a resort thats in areas turning into Pattaya (not my favourate place)however if you like the razel of a big resort area and the quiet of a good hotel then this is the place

Great location, comfortable feeling

Thara Patong (Patong Beach) is a really useful distance from the beach and from Bangla road, the nightlife centre. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay - room was lovely (and it was just standard) - only problem was the toilet flooded on the first day and it took them a while to sort it out. But hey, got a free meal out of it - no complaints.

excellent location but food is too costly at hotel

by Keturah L. Hadley from United States

The Hotel is nice but they are some problems such as too many mosquitos at night in the hotel rooms they offer no repellent and every body at the hotel had mosquito bites. I booked three months in advance and when I arrived they said that they were short on rooms therefore My daughter and son would be on the first floor and I would be on the second. Her room walls were dirty and unattractive. My room had no dresser to put our clothes in and the tub was out dated and the water stinks like it was recycled. I noticed that some people had been given White robes and I was not given any for my room or my daughter´s room. In addition they were doing construction work during the time I was there and they did not tell me.

Stayed here for 6 days in June 2008.
Disliked:
Being coerced to take a room with three separate beds, while I had requested a room with one double bed and a second bed placed beside it.
I insisted on this and in the end got it. Impersonal staff(could be more friendly) especially the reception. Understanding of English is very poor compared to other hotels. Bar and reception staff really need to understand basic English in a hotel of this class. All too often I got a blank stare when I asked a simple question. Or they rushed to get help from a co-worker who spoke three words more English. I am not asking for high-level conversation but just a decent answer to really simple questions.

Liked:
They serve a good breakfast.
They have great pools (kids had a blast).
Good in-house "travel agent" for booking day trips.
Rooms are kept very clean.

Nice rooms, poor housekeeping, good location

by Lena Ly from Australia

1. Location
- excellent, close to main patong nightlife, shopping and beaches

2. Service
- requested King bed, given Twin.
- had to be very forceful to get the ´free upgrade ´ to delux to get the King bed. Staff at this point were dishonest, said all rooms were full, said that "King bed - no have". Did not accept their shit offer to stay the 1st night in the twin and move the next day.

3. Buffet
- standard

4. Pool
- good

5. Spa Resort
- mixed feelings. You can get massages in their treatment center or in a little poolside hut. Cheaper and I think better in the outdoor hut. It was hard to communicate what I wanted with my treatments.

6. Housekeeping
- sheets not changed at all
- sheets were blood stained (not ours)
- when we requested it, it still was not done
- we had to manually walk housekeeping in and explain that we wanted the sheets changed, and since I didnt trust them, I watched them do it. We only got this done on our 3rd day
- despite the small issue with the sheets (which although had stains I do think they were actually clean), the towels were replaced, and there were no other issues really.

I would stay here again as most places in Thailand are dodgy and this place wasnt so bad.
I would just be more assertive to get the sheets changed. The room is otherwise quite nice with good decor. Nice bathroom - but we were in the Delux.

I liked everything except the fact that there were a few mosquitoes in the evening. Something should be placed in each room that takes care of that problem
