We rented an apartment located in this hotel but actually understood (when facing problems on the spot) that it is not part of it since it is a private own business in this huge-and-without-much-charm condominium. We asked to have a crib (baby bed) for our son and received an old, crumbling and dirty crib. We asked the reception if we could have a better one since we stay there for 2 weeks and were told by the so-called manager himself that we were not even part of the hotel and are not their customers (so could not ask for further services). Very shocked since it was the very first time that we arrive somewhere (especially in Thailand) and were told that you are not welcome and not even customers. Besides, cleaning service needed to be asked each time (otherwise no one would come) and you were answered like "see the reception". Balcony was dirty and dusty with birds excrement. And mostly the charm and smile of Thai people do not much exist among its personnel esp. at the reception. We often go to Thailand with my wife (almost every year) which is known for its charms, politeness and great services. But that is the first time that when entered in this huge building we have the impression that we are somewhere in China or the former Soviet Union with the usual rude way to treat people and no-client-oriented mind. TOO BAD.
On the other hand, the positive things are : the pool and kids room for children, the location of the hotel (that s why we made the choice) and the smiley doormen (at least that).
In one word, if we don t have any special questions, situations or problems (even small), I believe that we could stay at this place which is mainly use for "mass tourism" groups companies from Russia and China. Moreover, the so-called 4 stars are definitely overestimated !
BUT there are so many places much nicer and greater services in Phuket that we can feel the charm and kindness of Asia.

The staff were extremely friendly, rooms were sizeable and kept clean everyday. The restaurant had good food which was cheap. Pool big enough for everyone to have fun in. Close proximity to beach, restaurants, shops.
