We had booked a Club room on the 5th floor. Great ocean view, modern, spacious, neat and spotless. The bed was adorned with flowers and we received a cake and fruit basket to celebrate our anniversary, a really nice touch. Our stay included a buffet breakfast each morning which was of a high standard and included a wide range of food. The staff in the restaurant were all very friendly and helpful and in particular, Fred whom every morning would come and speak to us and made us feel very welcome. We took our two children with us and they had a great time. This is a very family friendly hotel with great amenities.

We loved our stay at Avista ! We stayed for a total of 8 nights, 4 nights in an Avista Club room and 4 nights in a Grand deluxe room. The room was quite nice, spacious, comfortable bed, very clean, big flatscreen TV. There are two pools, three if you count the kiddie pool next to the other smaller pool. The bigger pool has a bar so you can order food and drinks without exiting the pool
The pool, games room (with table tennis table, darts, table soccer and snooker), the library were good to keep my kids occupied whenever we are not doing any activities outside the hotel.

Located on the hill but only 5 mins walk to Kata beach. I stayed room facing to the pool,very nice.Breakfast is ok with international buffet.
Their playroom have table-tennis and pool table,I spend the time in this room with my friend before dinner everyday as I stay.So,overall is okay.

Excellent Service and Great Location

The staff couldn't do enough - they were FANTASTIC.
The rooms were stunning with all you could want - latest tech.
Pools were lovely but the tiles surrounding are a bit slippery for young ones.
Location was great, just a stroll down the hill to Kata beach and shopping.
Staff extremely good with children too - I cannot speak highly enough of them.
The kids also made use of the games room.
We would definately stay here again and recommend it to others.

There is no dislike except you will have no regret staying at Avista Resort with good and beautiful accomodation and very helpful and honest staff. Concerning about the steep slope to this resort which some people might comment on this matter, i personally feel that it is alright and perfectly okay . Just treat it as a execise but it is not advisable for old people and toddlers as they might find it hard to walk up the slope. Overall rating -

I liked allmost everything in hotel. Three pools, and the childrens pool was great! Very easy to be with children.
