Baan Karonburi Resort Phuket Reviews

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews of other guests, we booked an bedroom with as sea view but were dissapointed with it as the sea view was to the side of the rooms balcony, overlooking a bar and through between buildings plus a power or telephone pole with lots of wires. They must has used a wide angle lense to make the pool look twice as big as it is was which was also a disapointment, overall it was OK but if looking for a hotel in this area again would probably pay the extra and stay at the Karon Orchid (weve stayed there before and its very good with great pool and pool area) on the plus side this hotel is right on the beach and breakfast bar does overlook the sea (even if it is close to the road)The staff are very good and helpful and the breakfast area that Ive mentioned does excellent food at great prices throughout the day.

They try to charge for things you swore you had already paid for. The breakfast was nothing to brag about besides the flies. Do not get your laundry done or use the internet there. It´s extremely expensive and they tack on all kinds of fees. Go around the corner it´s cheaper. Do not pay for an ocean view unless you can get a room that ends in an 01 or 02. Anything after that and you will have a bldg/slash ocean view. We felt cheated on that part. If you do stay, I recommend you use the driver who picks you up in a mercedes. They have a hard time understanding you if you have difficult questions.

I would highly reccommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet get-away. Right across from the beach, superb pool, nice clean air conditioned rooms, and very friendly staff. The on-site internet was a bit pricey, but other than that it is definitely a steal!

This place was great, quiet at night without being too quiet. Near enough to kata and patong to get tuk tuks at a reasonable price.
The food was excellent. Staff were excellent, couldnt do enough. All wanted to please you and some become familiar faces and friends of my trip! - Particulaly pool bar staff and room service lady who was always smiling! Breakfast staff were also excellent!
