Theft at Cocoville Resort - BEWARE

I read reviews where Cocoville is highly recommended and decided to stay here during my week in Phuket. I loved the place, very clean, very relaxing and with friendly & helpful staff. I followed Cocoville's policy & put my valuables in the safe in the room. Between 4 p.m. Saturday the 29th and 1 p.m. Sunday the 30th, the equivalent of approximately 10,000 Baht was stolen from the locked safe in my room. Cocoville Resort has a Master Key to unlock safes in the rooms. In addition, guests are told to leave their room key on the front desk when leaving for the day/evening. Obviously someone entered my room and used the Master Key to open the safe.
The previously helpful manager became completely unhelpful. She claims the owner is in Bangkok and when I asked her to call the police, she refused. I then asked for the phone number of the police to which she responded she didn't know the number. Thanks to Google, I found the information I needed, the police were contacted and I filed a police report, but my money is still missing.
An amazing week in Phuket ended terribly. Prior to this incident I would have heartily recommended Cocoville Resort, but now, I cannot. A theft occurred on the property and no one (staff/owner) seems to care. I have become a problem which is better left ignored.
