PROs: The breakfast is really great, lot of choice. Location (If you like being almost in a shopping mall during your holidays). Quiet pool.
CONs: The sink in the room is the most unpractical thing I have ever seen (You cannot brush your teeth without waking up your wife in the morning (noise + light), privacy, ...). Several rooms had a sewage smell (Even on top floors)...
I love the night life and being close to the "action", but even with the close location, I would not recommend this hotel.

Beware of the noise

I have to admit that this is a wonderful hotel that is beautifully decorated and in a great location.
HOWEVER, starting at 4 PM and continuing until 10:30 PM, the band from Jung Ceylon shopping center can be heard in almost every room.
I had to close my windows, close the curtains, and still....I couldn´t get away from the constant noise problem.
I mentioned this to the hotel staff and they are aware of this problem...but don´t know what to do about it.
Don´t get me wrong, we loved staying at this hotel....but we just hated the nightly noise problem.
I really hope they can fix this.
If you are planning to stay for an extended holiday (more than 2 or 3 nights), this will probably become very annoying.

Check in was very slow. a 2 hour wait as they were still cleaning the rooms. But once we got in it was well worth the wait. The rooms were wonderful! And the beds soo fantastic! Many ocations we needed pillows or the toilet was clogged. Roomservice was fast and efficant. We stayed in the Lakeside Hotel and had a very nice overlook of the pool. The sofa was not as comftable but the bed made it all wothwild. The TV isnt that bad but no DisneyChannel or Discovery Channel was on there unfortunatly. We recently went and only came back yesterday. The rooms were really plesent. Altho we didnt get a bathtub, the floor wasnt soaking at all! Cabana rooms are really nice but delux rooms might just beat it.. The pool is fantastic with balls included for you to play water basketball. There are many deck chairs and towels provided. The gym is fantastic but the spa alittle expensive. The problem with the pool is that it closes at 7:30... very unconvinient but they dont switch off the lights causing people to think the pool might be open.Breakfast is good but the bacon is not so fresh and alittle tough. Getting to the shopping center is not a problem as the hotel has a door that connects to the shopping center. The facial treatment of one of the facial places (with black walls) was really relaxing and fun. with wifi in your room if you have a laptop (150 Bah an hour 600Bah a day). The hotel is well maintained with friendly staff and quick house keeping. Its wonderful and really enjoyable! Totally recomended!

Good Value, close but quiet

We stayed at 4 different resorts on our vacation in Thailand. The millennium was the cheapest resort but together with the Marina Phuket I regard this hotel as the best value for money. The location is great very near a big shopping arcade and in walking distance to the beach and BangLa road. The rooms does not have great views but the hotel is of good solid standard and with a Great Pool area. So if you want a good hotel where everything works but you dont need great luxury then I can only recommend this Hotel

Like the location of this hotel, almost in the shopping centre and close to all the attraction. Excellent service from everyone and the breakfast very nice and the laundry prompt. Was in the deluxe room at the beach side section and enjoyed every bit of my stay. The massage within the hotel is recommended to everyone as they are extremely good at what they do and you cannot get enough and you will go again, I give this hotel the thumbs up and I will go again.
