Pier 42 was created from the complete renovation of an existing property. Great care has been taken to minimize impact on the natural environment.

Existing structures have been retained and re-styled with recycled hardwood floors, reclaimed doors & windows and locally handcrafted encaustic and terra cotta tiles.

The guest rooms and public areas feature restored teak wood furniture in classic Thai designs, electic ornaments & carvings + contemporary paintings and photography from local artists.
