The first incident which led my partner and I to realise that the location was inconvenient, was that the airport transfer driver was not able to find the place and when he did, he was intimidated by the steep slope which he had to drive up to reach the resort.
The resort isn't a resort per se, more like serviced apartments. We found out during our stay that the apartments were for sale.
There was a kitchen in the apartment and we decided to cook breakfast since our package did not include any. We were told upon arrival that we could utilise the kitchen and all we had to do was to call reception for the pans and what not.
So we did that the next morning and it took almost 3 hours for them to deliver it to us! I was also told off by one of the staff that "a kitchen in the studio doesn't mean you can use it to cook".
Anyway, we did get what we were waiting for because they had went to purchase new pans, pots, plates and etc, which I think was very good effort on their part.
Getting to the room from the reception was quite a hassle because our room was located on another steep slope, so we had to be transported there by car.
Getting to Kamala Beach from the resort was ok because they provide a shuttle service that brings you to and fro on your beck and call, but costs 50 baht per person per way. We rented a car the next day, so it wasn't much of a big deal afterwards.
Besides the inconvenient location as it was secluded and quite a pain to get to, the studio is lovely. It is spick and span, and quiet. Going back to your room felt like going home.
The basic studio is huge with a spotlessly clean bathroom, kitchen, bed and drawers.
I would recommend this hotel to couples and families who don't mind being transported to Kamala Beach by shuttle each time they want to go out.
Best alternative is to rent a car and since many tourists do so in Phuket, why not?
