Excellent staff will do what it takes to help ...Rented a scooter and a car staffs suggestion...Thanks...Hotel has beautiful garden...Restruant is clean , but could use better breakfast menu, but if you dont mind instant coffee toast and eggs you will be fine...Hotel is all Teak and is very interesting very beautiful, however the rooms could use some upgrades...Bed is on the floor and the mirrors seemed a little too low for me...Also the shower is almost third world, but let me say it is just fine for the Thai traveller...Also we booked from this site for around 700 Baht per night and when we extended the hotel was asking alot more....We told them we would book online and they gave us the online price...The booking company was fast and everything was smooth....I highly recommend Chiang Mai and renting a scooter or car...Make sure you go to the Golden Triangle while there it is 4-5 hours by car so plan on overnight...Also if you drive to Mai Sai you can cross into Burma for a small fee...If you wanna see an amazing Chinese Buddhist Temple take Highway 1209 just after Chiang Rai may need a quality map to find it, but it is a new Temple with Golden Buddha 10 stories tall...After the Golden Buddha 20 more kilometers stop at Cherdas Art store cant miss it...He is the most Passionate Artist I have ever met...Have fun and most of all be safe...Secondly be adventurous ....

It was very pretty time to stay in this hotel. The main entrance is very beautiful and make impression. The Baantai Hotel designed in realy Thai style has very helpfull staff. It just could be little cleaner and the breakfast could be better, but it´s realy good value for many. Little far from the city.

I stayed at the Baantai Hotel a couple of years ago for about three weeks with a college photography group. The hotel staff was amazing. They arranged many things for us free of charge, cooked a breakfast just for us, and went out of their way to help us. I could not say enough to support this hotel and staff. One of our students left some personal items by mistake, and the owner followed us to the airport to return them. They are amazing!

Very nice, quiet and clean accomidations. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful the staff was. The owner is a very nice woman who arranged free transport for us to the night bizaar. We will be returning to Thailand and we will be Staying at the Baantai.

Baantai is a beautiful hotel, lovely large traditional rooms and friendly staff. However, as a female travelling alone, I felt it was too far from the centre of town. A tuk-tuk was needed to travel anywhere, and the area was so isolated that I felt uncomfortable returning alone late evening. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet spot, and travelling with a companion.

The hotel is nice. The rooms are decent, but a bit dark- lots of teak! They do have transportation to the Night Bazaar which is nice. The Baantai hotel is far from town, so you ´ll have to get a tuk-tuk to return you at night- but they are not expensive.

Stayed hereat the Baantai Hotel in Chiang Mai, in 2004 for 3 nights. Beautiful unique hotel with very friendly staff. Hotel provided free transport to the night market and explained where everything was also free transport to the airport, which was a lovely touch. All are trips were booked at the Baantai hotel and all were very enjoyable. Would recommend this hotel
