Good location across the beach road, but ongoing work with heavy machinery on the beach

Acceptable hotel in a good location. Unfortunetely ongoing work for upgrading the beach at the time of our visit just opposite the hotel.
Hotel rooms nice and clean, but choice of TV programs not good enough for foreign guests (choice of 88 programs, but only 1 movie channel and in English and 2 news channels, everything else only in Thai or Chinese).
Breakfast buffet also not perfect for farangs, sometimes even shortage of toast. All made for Thai / Asian taste.
Nice looking swimming pool, but only from a distance. Rough edges, broken plastic grills as covers for drainage around the pool DANGEROUS. Not suitable for smaller children.
Summary: little value for money - compared to other hotels in Thai tourist areas like Phuket, Pattaya, Bangkok or Chiang Mai

Lovely room, good breakfast, close to beach. Nice pool BUT deck chairs by pool had no mats so not comfortable to lie on. Sounds a small thing but we didn't feel it was appropriate to sunbathe on the beach itself so it would have been really nice to have good poolside furniture. Other guests were also saying this.

Liked the rooms and the lobby. Staff spoke enough English for us to get by. Nice pool. Good ommelettes made to order at breakfast.
Disliked the hard sun beds by the pool (no mattresses) and some beds broken. Wifi not always working. Beach not clean

its probably the newest hotel in Songkhla and makes a good impression - but staff hardly smiles and if - does not really mean it.
poor that they are not pet friendly at all.
their English is equally poor.
prices mid march are B1200/B1400 and B2600 for a suite.
it is right on the beach road and its view nicely shielded from the casuarina fur trees.

Good beach location

Excellent hotel. The best hotel breakfast that I have experienced in many years. The restaurant is good at other times but you can save money at nearby bars. Note that a very large new hotel is under construction but our stay was not
