About Amita Thai Cooking Class Bangkok

Amita Thai Cooking class is located within the landscape of the Chao Phraya River, on the bank of the water arteries that run through the old town of Bangkok. Each Cooking Class at Amita Thai Cooking Class has been designed as a half day course in the morning from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm.

Activity Information

How to use
  • You must book at least 24 hours prior to arrival

  • You can present either a printed or a mobile voucher to enter to the attraction directly

  • The person who books and receives the confirmation voucher must present a valid photo ID/passport along with the voucher number

  • The voucher is valid only on specified date and time of the tour

Important Information
  • Menu items subject to change without prior notice

  • Vegetarian dishes are available upon request. If you have any special requirements or allergies please let us know when you book

  • Please note that walking in the wet market can be a little bit wet and muddy! Please wear any closed-toe/heel shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty

  • Please arrive at the meeting point at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled departure time

  • Itinerary may be subject to change or cancellation according to local weather conditions. In the event of bad weather, tours will be postponed until suitable conditions arise

  • Open daily: Mon - Sun (Except Wednesdays).

  • Starting time 08:00 am - 13:00 pm.

  • Amita Thai Cooking Class Bangkok closes on New Year days: 31 December, 1 and 2 January and Songkran days: 13, 14 and 15 April 2020

Inclusion
  • If guests stay at hotel by Chao Phraya River, pick up will be by boat

  • Three and a half hours of Thai cooking class conducted in English includes:

    • - Introduction to Thai ingredients in our herbs garden
    • - Cooking demonstration and food tasting
    • - Hands-on cooking of four dishes at guest’s own cooking station
    • - Enjoying guest’s own prepared lunch at the school’s veranda
    • - Souvenir cooking recipe cards

  • Welcome herbal drink

  • Visit to our herb garden for an introduction to the essence of Thai cooking

  • 3 hour hands-on cooking experience of 4 dishes

  • Lunch

  • Recipe cards of the dishes made

  • Boat transfer for about 40 minutes to the school

Transfer Service
  • Transfer back from school to hotel by car (arrival hotel 13.30 hrs)

  • Morning (08.00 hrs) hotel pick up and drive to Lek Silom Pier

  • Children under 12 years of age are not permitted to attend the cooking class.
